But since we 're now at..... past 100 episodes, I figured it was time I updated a video I did back in the early days of this channel. So today we're gonna be taking a look at 10 of the best retro anime that we have ever reviewed on the podcast.

100 EPISODES OF THE RLR PODCAST! Good times were had and many laughs were shared. But now it's time to look back at all the anime we've reviewed and take our picks on which ones were the very best.
Context: If you're wondering why some shows outrank each other despite having the same average score, that's because all 3 hosts voted on them to rank them properly. I just couldn't add all that to the video as it would just be way too much. Also, the reason why there are 2000s anime on this list is because both this channel and the podcast operates with the 15 years or older rule to determine what anime is considered retro

Have to agree, the count is a great anime.
(I feel the same way about "Fumetsu no Anata e" (To Your Eternity 2021)

That's a nice list! I liked what Noralities did recently by talking about her favourite anime of the 2010s, and not ranking them - they are all good, they all get their own mark, but they are not ordered worst to best - good shows tend to be unique and therefore are hard to compare. Anyway, you made a really nice list with a lot of variety. Personally I love Mamoru Oshii and you even mentioned Patlabor here so yeah I'm happy, you have obvious Akira etc. No Utena tho - that show is as complex as Evangelion but deconstructs shoujo instead of mecha so it gets a completely different crowd.

Lists are always hard to do since no one is every gonna completely agree with someone elses list. That is why this list is just what the 3 hosts of the RLR anime cast liked the most from the 100 episodes we've done.
As for Utena, we did review it, but none of us liked it enough to put it on a list like this.
