  • Studio Ghibli is a staple of anime. With classics like My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, they have produced some of the best and most memorable anime movies of all time. And while it's hard to find someone who doesn't like at least one Ghibli movie, it's also hard to say exactly which of their movies is the best. However that's exactly what I'm gonna be doing today. I'm gonna rank EVERY Studio Ghibli movie (at least the ones that matters) from worst to best. And I'm gonna prove to you all that I have the best taste in all of AniTube.
Now if you for some reason disagree with this list, or think you can do better. Post your own list, or just the Ghibli movie you think is the best in the comments. And if you want to watch more anime related content from me, don't forget to SUBSCRIBE.

#1 Laputa: castle in the sky simply as I'm a simple minded cheese poppin 80's action scifi flick dweeb. I also liked Spriggan and I think its has the coolest kid villain name ever, Colonel McDougal.

I respect that. Hell I definitely enjoy me a good 80s action flick. Sadly Laputa just wasn't quite my cup of tea

Should've gone the extra mile and watched the three missing full-length movies before making the video, but neat list. Original opinions are definitely aopreciated.

I could have that yeah. But honestly none of those movies look particularly interesting to me. Wouldn't really have done more for the video than to complete the list

Great video 👍🏾. But what about Ocean Waves? It might be in a popular opinion, but it's my favorite studio Ghibli movie.

For me, I liked Princess Mononoke, Princess Kaguya, and Only Yesterday most. However, I could not stand My neighbour Totoro. For me it was insufferable. Not to mention, as average as I find Ghibli films, I much prefer his earlier work in WMT series.

WMT stuff is an absolute gem and something I want to explore a lot more.
I can definitely see why someone wouldn't like Totoro. For me tho it's just an absolute vibe. Growing up in the countryside, there's parts of that movie that resonates with me a lot

@@AnimeTopScholar which ones have you seen? Even though it's technically not a WMT anime, Nobody's Boy: Remi is my absolute favourite. Romeo's Blue Skies, Anne of Green Gables, Les Misérables, 3000 Leagues in Search For Mother, Swiss Family Robinson are my other top dogs. Treasure island is not one either, but very similar like Remi. They all just have so much feelings, and an atmosphere you just don't find nowadays.

@@archangelarielle262 For now I've only really watched Anne of Green Gables and Moomin (tho Moomin was pre WMT). But I've got Remi, Heidi and Dog of Flanders on my list of things to watch. I'm also gonna be watching Remi for the podcast in the not too distant future
