That also means that this is gonna be the last Top 10 video I have planned for the forseeable future. This time we're gonna be taking a look at 10 of my favorite retro anime OVAs.

Now I just want to let you know that this is most likely my last video of this year, and I don't know when the next video will be up as I'll probably take a little break over Christmas. Hopefully, it won't be too much more than 2 weeks waiting for the next video.
An real good list of some classic OVAs, about the two only known classic anime ovas I've seen are Golden Boy and Angel Egg which are both my favorites. I'll definitely check out the others of this nice list cause I love watching & finding underrated, unheard of OVAs.
Same. I'm planning on watching a lot more OVAs next year, so I'm probably gonna be making more videos on classic OVAs

I'm so happy golden boy is here I just watched it. Far surpassed my expectations. Also Angel's Egg is amazing, I wish we had more animation like it from Amano. As for FLCL, aside from Gizmo of Gremlins, Canti is the only Funko Pop I own lol 🐐 anime.

One of my favorite OVA’s from the 90’s is a 13 episode Record Of Lodoss Wars. Only 2 on the this I have not seen.

Oh you, playing Borderline Case over the Gunbuster bit xD its fascinating tho how much is common between it and Evangelion and still they are not similar in the slightest. And to say the science is outdated - yes they went for a retrofuturistic take clocking back science to before relativity was fully figured out and taking a different route entirely! Gotta love the next level science nerd stuff xD Anyway it might not be an OVA of superior quality but I quite enjoyed Cyber City Oedo, and there were a lot of such bloody and gritty cyberpunk OVAs back in the day, the closest to what on your list would be Patlabor I guess. There sure are better OVAs than those but it is what springs to my mind when I hear OVA.

It is, but I haven't finished LoTGH yet. And as far as Gundam is concerned, I'm not very big on mecha anime. I've seen a bit of Gundam, but it just doesn't do much for me

It's from 2004 and it is original, there is manga but it's just a prequel not an adaptation
I have a lot on my plate already and it doesn't look like something that interests me, so I doubt I'll watch it anytime soon

You don't see many straight up ecchi comedies anymore. i wonder if the emergence of Hentai as an art form (heh) has made people just go for the more hardcore stuff. Also nice podcast mention drop :)
I just think that the ecchi market is a bit too niche at this point. Plus, you could get away with a lot more in an ecchi back in the day than they can now
