  • I've had the Benro Aero 4 'Travel Angel' compact video tripod with the S4 fluid head for about 2 years now, so it's time to give it a review, run down the great, the good, the bad, and the downright terrible. This thing has it all, believe me!
If you're thinking of buying a travel tripod to shoot some video, then give this a watch, and I'll let you know what I think of it in comparison to my favourite travel tripod for video in 2020.

My feelings exactly. Thought I was buying a travel tripod, and I'd rate this one of the worst purchases I've made. Not to write Benro off - my Benro KH25P is higher, cheaper, lighter, faster, easier to set up, variable drag and only 14cm longer in the same style bag as the Aeero (but with the same style annoying lock screw for the plate).

soooo...did you get the Peak? I want to hate it but I keep tiptoeing around it.

I have an aging slik 88, must be 30 yrs old was/is a great tripod, but is showing its age now. Spend several hours watching CZcams tripod reviews and I think the manfrotto be free live is the one for me.

The more I use it, the more I like it. It's definitely not the most solid tripod you'll ever use but it's SO tiny and convenient it trumps ever other metric as you'll actually want to carry it places.

I use it for quite some time and i am really happy with it. When i bought it i was comparing the heads of the be free and aero 4. Which head is better in your opinion, because i don’t own the be free.

Thanks so much for watching! The Aero 4 has the better head for sure. I just wish it had manfrotto legs on it!! The Befree head isn't bad, but it doesn't have the solidity or fluidity of the S4 head on the Benro.

Yes, it's very much each to their own - I prefer the tiny size of the manfrotto but i do miss that S4 head sometimes!

Please note that this guys standards are way too high, this is a $280 tripod that is innovative and different than the basic tripod. I've had this for a while and it's absolutely great. This is a tripod meant for people that take time with their shots and don't rush things it's great just not meant for him

You're spot on, and no I don't expect Sachtler performance for £200, but it's sure nice to be able to nail down and prioritise what's important to you given a price point for gear. I've had some excellent results from this tripod, just overall I've found something which suits me better, trading one set of compromises for another, and everyone's going to have certain things they can live with to get the best balance of features.

Absolutely...great video however way too much complaining for a such a fantastic product. This tripod is not for someone that is in rushed circumstances, maybe try a compact gimble which can’t be beat for size and functionality 😆. These tripods are are two totally different products so comparing and complaining about size difference and functionality is unfortunately useless information 🥱
