It’s definitely surprising but long term it makes sense. Falcons are highly unlikely to pick high again and there’s not going to be a lot of 1st round QBs coming out over the next couple of years. And who knows how long Cousins holds up before falling off.

It’s their money not your who cares who and how much money they spent. There is no problem with getting a great security player at QB for now and or the future.
