1) User Engagement With Your Post - Reactions, Likes, Comments, Shares, Avg. time users spend on your post
How - Consider what your audience wants to hear, needs to know, and finds entertaining. Ask employees and customers to engage with your content. Engage with other content. Be engaged with audience/followers and they will be with you. Boost posts
2) User Engagement With Your Previous Posts - The more people engaged with your previous posts, the higher future posts will rank. In other words, Facebook assumes that people who previously engaged with your content will enjoy what you post next.
How - Consistency, stay on topic, add value
3) Recency Of Your Post - The feed pushes your content down, older content is considered less relevant
How - Consistency & Frequency - wake up, lunch, go to bed
4) Negative Feedback With Your Post - Negative feedback, including post hides, hides of all posts, reports of spam and unlikes of your page, will seriously damage your post rankings.
How - Add value, period. Don't be spammy. Stay on topic.
Bonus Tip) Live Video gets priority over other post types and will be shown to more people, but don't do live video for the sake of doing it, always add value

Awesome video, however, I don't recommend boosting posts unless they are SUPER targeted. If you get dead weight following your page it will absolutely kill your engagement.
Boosting can be useful but it's far better to go step further and just set up an ad. Boosting is quick and dirty and great for some businesses, but overall creating an ad with great targeting will almost always outperform. Great suggestion!

Personal profiles aren't meant to be used for business purposes so it's likely that any reach you might be getting is being restricted since you're not using a business page.
