@@leonardo9259 Palm blast seems to give legitimate hyper armor, since I've only seen it break from a status being inflicted. Superarmor would just be requiring a second hit to stagger you.

So many new weapons lack poise damage. It's believed they're tuned to older versions of Elden Ring
I love light greatsword's moveset but due to its low poise damage, it's pretty hard to use on some enemies
It's rumoured these things were on development since 1.03, and in classic fromsoft fashion they just released them as is
@@TheKozasthey really need to buff itâs poise and normal damage. Maybe give it better quality scaling for said damage. (And also the poise damage, noone needs to respect your offense with the weapon.) I honestly think that other weapons should have their poise damage tuned down instead of this one being buffed so I donât need to pick between bull goats tree sentinel or the solitude armor for pvp builds.
@@TheKozas I mainly use them for killing wizards, they close distance pretty well and they usually dont rock any kind of armor

They aren't buffable because there's literally nothing to buff, you're equipping a bare handed fighting style essentially.
No idea why they have weight tho. Miyazaki's vision I suppose.
Just noticed during this video that while you are charging the palm blast, you actually get a poise buff icon under your health showing that it's not just hyper armor, but actually fully boosting your poise higher. noticed it specifically at 15:41
Edit: Turns out that it's actually a defensive boost +25% to all damage negation while it's charging and releasing. The actual charging is, in fact, just regular hyper armor after all lol

As someone who used palm blast for most of my first playthrough you absolutely have to call it out every time you use it

Shattered stone talisman affects the kicks in both the movesets, and theres also the divine bird warrior greaves to increase kicks further, definitely enough stuff there to maybe do a dedicated build. Jump attacks also are kicks so could throw in the claw talisman.
There is nothing that will convince me to wear the chicken feet

The whole set is drippy but it's a bit light for my tastes, and I haven't found anything else that looks good with the chicken feet so I just don't use them.
Chicken feet, black quil, solitude helm and greaves = 51 poise with all the boosts
They're playing Dark Souls 3 while Chase is playing TEKKEN

@@sPaCe_NiNjA187 don't think it matters plus you can't stagger them they have what others call super armor when it's not breakable unlike hyperarmor which can be sometimes broken. Either way the poise values are just a mess and so are afew other things

SMH, not even the best pve weapon. There's way better. Rivers only bullies weaker bosses that never interrupt you or die so quickly it doesn't matter.

Didn't see you mention it, but uncharged palm blast gives a true combo into R1 or offhand L1. You can get 900-1200 damage off of trades this way, depending on your offhand weapon.

Palm blast is sooooo fun. Most people do not respect the insane damage and hyper armor that move has and they find out real quick. Iâve been invading at the final dungeon and blasting people off the edge with it.
Dryleaf arts are such a fun addition to the game. The jumping heavy does good damage and has quite a bit of distance.

I wanted to add because you didnt use it at all but if you put footwork in one hand and dryleaf in the other you get full access to the kick moveset and the l1 does the dryleaf dual wield r1 moveset. Pretty versatile for mixups

Thereâs so many ways to boost the kicks, youâve got the shattered stone talisman and the divine bird bottoms. And cause the move-set incorporate jumps you can also throw in the claw talisman and raptor black feathers or the grave bird armour

using the shattered stone talisman and the divine bird legs makes your kicks do a bunch more damage. i was doing a bunch of arena matches where I'd do the running r2, into a non-charged r2, into the jumping r2, into the dryleaf whirlwind ash with frostbite and it would do crazy damage.

Dryleaf whirlwind is by far my most favorite AoW for the new kung fu weapons its just so fun to do.

The best part about the new hand to hand weapons are the mixups! It's like a boss battle, honestly, you're the boss. Start unarmed, soft swap to a stronger weapon, then hard swap to a weapon with a finisher, like the Sword of Damnation. I"ve had crazy fun invasions with that.

Not really. It does allow you to have the 2handed moves set of the first as your L1 and the 1handed kicks as your R1 though, which can creat so fun mix ups.
@@bentrieschmann it was a nice little something. Sadly I do believe another downside to this is weaker damage over time.
Sorry, not girrst but fist. I have both set to cold and same level of upgrades, so they should have the same scaling. But one, the kicks, has a better symmetry with the kick talisman. Which makes me thick you are probably correct.
The fine crucible feather talisman is amazing!
For the jumping heavys you can boost them by a lot by using the divine bird warrior greaves, the claw talisman, the rapors black feathers (gravebird blackquill armor) as well as the Shattered stone talisman. They all buff jumping heavy attacks on the martial arts so that they do a lot more damage than normal. The greaves and the shattered stonw talisman also bosst the poison flower blooms twice ash of war which I personally find very fun.
These hands are rated E for everyone
that step forward with the palm blast seems like a blessing and a curse! If they close the distance too quick you blast passed them, but if they try to run you still have a good chance to hit
I adore that they added these. I loved using the Bone Fist in ds2, it just looks so cool.

Would have been interesting to see with shattered stone and divine bird warrior's greaves to make dane's footwork stronger. Been rocking them with the gravebird's blackquill armor, getting some real cosplay action, but they still don't seem to hit terribly hard. Great work and thanks for the upload, as always, Chase.
