It's sad to see that the man who brought uplifting, upbeat songs to the people is now just musically processing heavy thoughts as if he himself is burnt out and no longer believes in his optimism of the early years and can no longer deliver it to the fans. But it is probably his realisation in life and as such I have understanding for it. Only who gives people strength, joy and positive zest for life that makes you dance now?
When we had all that originality and creativity of the Glam Rock explosion, 1971-2....this here Shaky was resurrecting old hat Rock 'n Roll, very much a bygone era, he was a pointless Elvis retro act. Others followed such as Mud and Rubettes,...never saw the point of it, just flogging a dead horse.
He is still a very attractive man even in 2022 and he can still sing fantastic
