Nooo wayyyy, how did I not know this exists 🤣🤣 I literally was looking for step up rings today, this solves everything. Thanks Richard, epic video!
oh really!!! You really need to check it out. It replaced pretty much all my step up rings!
Never heard of it either, but a little organization works just as well. The step up rings I have (49 to 82) will last forever. There's no need to to get this gadget if you're already invested in the regular kind.
Richard once again a spectacular video. I usually kit all my lenses with cpl as I shoot mostly outdoors BUT I haven't yet learned how to use a variable ND for video. I assume this is best for very bright sunny days. But I am unclear the advantage? Maybe do a video explaining why that helps.
Yes VND is quite often used for video shooting during the day when you want to bring the shutter speed down to say 1/50s or 1/60s and maintain that even when the lighting changes (by adjustinig the strength of the VND filter) when shooting at between 24fps - 30fps) to give the footage a bit more cinematic look.
But of course you can use it for photos too!

Can the adaptee work with non HNY filter brand?
What about a lens shade? With that big piece of glass out in front do I have to worry about flare? Is there a lens shade option? As a hobbyist I really like the idea of only needing one polarizer in my camera bag
