Thank you for sharing!! Just passed 1 year alcohol free and I’ve never been so proud of myself! This is definitely a much better way to live. I don’t plan on going back. Tempting at times, until you remember all the hangovers, fights, poor decisions, etc. I’m proud of you and the rest of the sober community, too!

You can make it. I drank whiskey nearly daily for 22 years, although it was only at home in the evening. As I became depressed to the point of planning to eliminate myself, I began to drink more and more. I stopped drinking alcohol since 2022. I will never go back. Since then, everything is better for me. I sleep well, too. No temptation can make me drink alcohol, again. I still have bottles of whiskey at home. They belong to my union. As the Chairman of the union, I generally keep drinks for the union. During our meeting, I could serve those who drink Whiskey with whiskey. It doesn't move me. They all know that I no more drink alcohol. The urge to drink alcohol is dead and dead forever. I am so much proud of myself for making it without a single therapy. You can make it, too.

You’re beautiful! :) also congrats on your sobriety. I’m 4 1/2 months sober right now which is the longest I’ve gone since I was 15.

It’s such a journey that is never over I’m afraid, but taking it one day at a time is all we can do. 4 1/2 months is so awesome! I’m proud of you! ❤

Great job on going alcohol free. I'm a month and 6 days in this go around. I hope to be in it for the long haul. I need to get to know my true self. Great commentary.

You are amazing girl! I am sitting here drinking wine right now and I'm going through all of these CZcams stories wondering how I'm going to do this it's been maybe almost 20 years and only really heavy drinking since Covid but I am looking at this as I need to do this and not sure how to do it with on my own strength. Because I've tried so many times… Wish me luck! And good luck to all of you!

Good luck, you’ve got this! Covid is when I REALLY went overboard and downhill with my drinking 😅 So trust me, you’re not alone! I really made this video on the fly but I’d love to get into some more of the nitty gritty details of my journey to share with you all! ❤

I can resonate with your story...alcohol is an avoidance ..a kind of an escape...butits fake ...it definetly causes more anxiety in the long term ...

So true!! I do NOT miss the next morning where I would end up lay around all day dissecting what embarrassing things I did the night before or just wallowing in the leftover anxiety from the alcohol leaving my body. All for momentary “fun.”

I'm a month in without my precious - silver tequila and orange juice on ice. I feel SO MUCH BETTER now but sweet Mary and Joseph do I miss that beautiful, warm comfortable feeling. Just have to keep repeating to myself, you steal happiness from tomorrow you steal happiness from tomorrow you steal happiness from tomorrow....

Temptation is going to come but just keep remembering all the reasons why you chose to give it up, and keep going! There are so many times I’m like “F it, I want a drink” but the reason I quit means so much more than a sip of relief. Hang in there!
