I think it's great that you experienced the spirit of Glashütte Original up close and learned to appreciate G-O. I like the watch brand very much. But I have the feeling that you just have to hold the watches in your hands to really appreciate them. For example, the metal bracelet on a seaq is one of the best I've ever had on my arm. It literally melts into the skin and also has a sophisticated fine adjustment. Well, never mind, I'm happy for you for your experience with G-O.

Great tour of the factory, and an informative presentation of the watches.
It's good to see someone who wears French cuffs and cufflinks. French cuffs are really classy. Great watches and attire go together well.

It is Glashütte, not Glashutte and you pronounce the e at the end like an ae, don’t omit it.Thanks for the great overview!

I would so love to have a watch from Glashutte Original. They have quite a few models, but especially the GO Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date with either the green or blue dial. In fact, I have it as my desktop wallpaper on my computer. GO produces some absolutely striking dial colors and effects. Would love to see you visit some of the other Glashutte brands (Muhle Glashutte, Nomos, Lange, etc. as they don't seem to get the same attention in videos as the Swiss brands (a shame, considering the quality of many brands located there).

After taking interest and learning about watches for some time it amazes me how few often very highly regarded companies are as confident and proud of their movements as Glashutte original

GO is definitely one of those brands that 'doesnt' get on many people's radar when they are searching for watches. For many, they are so drawn to Swiss and without mentioning names. Brands that know how to do a heck of a job in marketing. I can confidently say I was part of that group until 2 weeks ago when I purchased my first and second GO. The panomatic inverse is spectacular. Every morning I would hold it close watching the balance wheel turn and listening to the ticking*. Comforting and Relaxing. The sound of the rotor turning in the back does annoying sometimes, but I got over it. If you get try on a GO at your local AD. Give it a chance. I know what some might ask, how does it compare with lange, well let's just say for the price GO is good value.

Excellent video thank you. One of the finest watchmakers in Germany. They create timeless works of art in small quantities making them truly unique and rare masterpieces.

Glashütte Original are reasonably popular in central europe, places that are of course closer to Dresden. Prague, Munich, Vienna, Saltzburg etc all have GO stocked.
By the looks of it, they are also upping their presence in London. I expect them to break into the US market in 5 years or so.
Great brand - I love my PanomaticCounter XL

Great video as always! Just a correction on the founding fathers, it's Moritz Grossmann, not Grobman (if you've seen it written down, the elongated "b" symbol in German is called the eszett, and it's pronounced as double "s"). Also, I know the video is about Glashutte Original, but you kind of glossed over why GUB came about - for those interested, it's because of the Soviet era, when private industry was banned, and all the individual companies were forcibly amalgamated into one. This actually makes Glashutte Original the real descendant of A Lange Sohne, with the current brand technically a new entity (as is the current Moritz Grossmann brand). Nonetheless, a great little insight into German watchmaking.

Fantastic video, loved your clear enthusiasm for G-O and the impression they obviously made on you.
I have a G-O Senator Karree Chronograph and it is a truly exceptional watch but flies completely under the radar apart from watch enthusiasts. A Sea Q Specializt or PanoMaticLunar are on my wish list.

As a proud owner of a Panomaticlunar I agree with you about how good they are.
I think some respect should go to Swatch for letting them do what they want.
    Loved the tour 👍

Learning about the brand is commendable, knowing how to pronounce the name of the company and the town seems however, a bridge too far. The "E" is expressed and the umlaut makes the "U" say ue as in Sue.
