- This is a short transcription of 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy' by Anomalie.
This took about 3 hours to do fully since Anomalie's pieces are really sophisticated and the dense piano harmony in certain areas makes it all the more challenging.

Well, you probably spend less time transcribing than this guy. If you wanna be better at it, do it more. If you don't then don't. It's not complicated, just takes effort

You were born without perfect pitch unlike Bleu Orb (yes he has it, I asked), amateur mistake.
@@UkuleleAversion I know people without perfect pitch who can transcribe complex music extremely quickly and I know people with perfect pitch who are not good at transcribing complex music. It's fixed mindset thinking to think I don't have this so I can't be good. There's no reason someone with good relative pitch can't be just as good at transcribing, people with perfect pitch just makes it easier to start out. In the end, the only difference is that people with perfect pitch don't need to press a key on their pianos before they start writing. Always upsets me that people think transcribing is a genetic gift. It's a skill that can be learned like everything else.

Where do/ did you learn jazz theory? Is there are a book you might recommend?
I usually transcribe pieces/ jazz solos to study the theory and understand it/ ear training..
I don’t play piano, but why is beat three of bar 37 notated as a fourlet and not just 4 32nds followed by two 16ths? Just a stylistic choice?
