Shipping electronics to Ghana is not a good idea. Shipping basic items to Ghana is not cost effective either. Just bring cash to Ghana and buy everything new.

Actually, televisions in Ghana are less expensive. I've been in Ghana for 5 years now. I've bought tvs in the USA and Ghana. It's never cost effective to ship basic items to Ghana especially televisions and other 110AC electronics.

That was a smart move my sister!
Electronics prices in Ghana are pre-2015 prices, which means they’re exorbitantly very high. I found a Samsung TV in the US for $1,300 and with taxes about $1,506 which was an equivalent of 16,861 Cedis at the time. I came home and went to the electronics stores in Accra and that exact TV was selling for 49,999 Cedis. I came back and went straight to store to get it simply because I’ll save me about 30,000 Cedis give or take
With Digital Television these days, you don’t need to worry about NTSC or PAL regional settings anymore. If you get a reliable shipper, I say do the proper calculations and make your decision. You made the right decision sis

My Sister, I hope you have plenty of step-downs. If not you will burn your electronics up! As you know and many people have found out. the hard way. The power outlets are 220 volts in Ghana. The only thing that would ship to Ghana is a clothes dryer, they are already 220. Electronics and appliances are cheaper in Ghana, especially with the current exchange rate. Custom duties in Ghana are through the roof especially if you are shipping a car in. A friend wanted to ship his 2023 Lexus SUV, duties would have been $47,000! You fared well , but the horror stories at the port abound!
