This is my favorite version of the song. The song was actually featured on the next-to-last episode of Ted Lasso and has been nominated for an Emmy award.

The Words "Tis Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Is from In Memoriam by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Sam has taken that idea and changed it up. :) Speaking of Freddie Mercury, Sam was invited to sing with Queen at a concert.

The original song is Sam Ryder with Brian May, so the Freddie vibes are correct ;-)

It reminds me of Freddie Mercury, because it’s a Freddie Mercury song! It was off of one of queens better albums
