- Here comes the first selection of classic rally videos i captured this year. I hope you will enjoy the pure sound of this beauties.

Oh I am. I added it to my rally playlist. My favorite one is of the Lancia 037 leaving from sight. I LOVE how the supercharger on that car sounds. It doesn't make the typical whine most superchargers do like on the Delta S4.

...and I always love seeing and hearing the Stratos. Some of those cars I had never seen in rallying footage before although I know they did rally with them.

So awesome to see these cars still being driven, especially considering the current state of the WRC it seems that they have gradually been downsizing cars to slow down the speeds, they went from group b to group a to wrc spec which was a modified group a then they went to super 2000 as the wrc cars and now the wrc cars are essentially super 1600 cars with turbochargers on them.
yes, that's correct. Although it was the English division of Slowly Sideways. This year they are coming back to the TAC Rally in April and to the Monteberg Rallysprint in May!

yes i have heared about that rally and seen some videos on youtube. Nice that it is close to Nürburgring. Thats one of the places were planning on going to this year. Then we can visit both in one trip.
I'm sure i will like it.. man these cars are insane !! :D I have seen them on movies and in games and i just want to see them in real life!! Even if they wouldn't drive i would go there just to see them.

I think for dutchmen the Eifel-Rallye is a good place, journey isn't too long for most of you. It is nearby the Nürburgring and you will always find a lot of countrymen there.
It's a lot of fun, you are close to the cars and tickets are (in contrast to WRC crap) very cheap (5,- Euro at saturday last year).

I own an Opel Manta 81 GTE right now, and i agree. The car like it more sideways than straight ahead. By the way,in the summer it's much better. but now in the winther with all snow it's hard.

By the way, last year you could see the -Slowly Sideways- in Belgium at the TAC Rally. These guys drive save, but i think you will love it, particular the sound of these beauties. ;-)

i have read the comments comparing the killer b's against the wrc's today. i drove both era's and i won't say which is easier or faster i love rally!
He is right , the 2009 Eifel Rally is from 17 to 18 July . We will be there with our Quattros ( Urquattros ) . Maybee Rico van de Pol will be there this Year .

thats right. first audi quattro was coming up during group 4, but it start racing in group b becouse group 4 didn't allow all wheel drive. first car by the group b (no)rules was 037

That Opel Ascona B at 3.40 were pushing hard, that manta after the first car were doing well to. both went sideways.
i always wanted to know how a Lancia Stratos sounds and it sounds goooood
stratos were in group 4 and the opel in the lower group b class
@MoSponiac i don't think that is a Stratos, there are others in the video, and that looks and sounds a lot different. I'd like to tell you what it is, but i have no idea
