Best off-road review I've seen of any EUC ever. Outstanding Job to all involved!!!
Really appreciate the faster overview of the wheel! I can see these shorter reviews having mass appeal for anyone interested in EUCs wanting to keep up with the news. Then the longer teardown videos being much more useful for owners, or potential owners, of that specific model. Great stuff! Hope the pattern keeps up!
Adam, I loved this review, there is no way I will ever need to ride this model except in my dreams…..BUT, WOW, the jumps you and Serg pulled plus the camera work is brilliant. I also like the punchy style of the review, not too long winded but not just a slick presentation. Nice balance or agility in every way. Thanks.
Last lovely to se the sunshine in your video, loads of Spring!
Hey Adam!
I've been watching your videos for quite a while, watching your videos is what I got me interested in using my EUC as more than just commuting, on top of getting brave and doing jumps.
I've been riding EUCs for almost two years and began with an RS19HT, However, I quickly outgrew its speed and range. Living in the greater Seattle area, my EUC is my primary mode of transportation for work. The RS was just too uncomfortable to be used to regularly complete my trip to work which is 27.7 (45km) miles one way , so I upgraded to an S22 and even added a fast charger. I've learned a lot from these experiences and have transitioned from scooters to EUCs, all thanks to your videos.
What started as a brief comment has turned into a mini-essay, but I can't stop now. Along this journey, I began designing my own 3D-printed parts for my RS, mainly power pads. Currently, I'm riding an SS, and the jump in quality from the RS19 to the S22 was impressive, but the leap to the SS was mind-blowing.
The main reason for this comment is to ask if you'd be interested in testing out some power pads I designed, which I currently pick over the Patton pads provided by Ewheels for my SS (I use them together for my commute setup, which is shown on my Cults3d page ill include below. I also have another project in the works that I believe would greatly benefit your role as a wheel reviewer and tester. I would need to discuss the project with you privately to share the details.
The pads that I would love for you to try were designed specifically for the S22, and its small mounting space, Now I use them on my veteran sherman-s and I love them on it as well for jumping.
the inspiration for the design (which is in its first iteration also) came from the hand guards I always used to install on my Dirtbikes when I was still riding.
I'll include the link to my page so that anyone who has read through this "novel" can check out the designs for themselves, I feel it's time for me to actively contribute to the EUC community rather than just lurking, as I've done for years.
cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/toe-shield-jump-torque-pads (my everyday commuting setup)
cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/whitpads-power-padsv1 (my first ever designed powerpads)
If you're open to trying them out, I'd be more than happy to 3D print a set for you and have them shipped to you.
Thanks for your time and dedication to the EUC community,
Once again I love your honesty with all of your reviews. It really helps potential buyers make an informed decision when considering buying an euc.
Side note. I got my first euc. A kingsong s16 and 4 days I'm riding it to work. What a learning experience. I can see why you like euc's so much.
Great video Adam! Collaboration with Serge gave pretty good output :)
Thanks for the review, short version is surely pretty packed with info and interesting to watch :)
Thank you Adam and everyone involved for putting this together. This wheel seems so close.
I wish kingsong all the best in improving this wheel, I'll get the batch 3 or something. It looks so sexy though.
Thank you so much for this very complete review, just as objective as always! :)
Finally a real review and not just a sales pitch.
Your jumps are getting clean af!
@8:05 I couldn't agree more - its super critical how companies respond when their products have safety issues. The worst response is none at all, especially when your products have caught on fire about 20 times (Gotway/Begode).
From my S22 spring change I believe what you perceive as slider friction problem is actually a matter of preload vs spring weight. Like if you dial up the preload it will feel softer in its 3:1 region of Height to Spring travel. But with a 750 lbs even that is stiff... such that you only notice it working on big stuff. I'm 200lbs ride weight and do 2' drops commonly... a 350lbs spring weight works (see my channel vids about it). It makes my S22 ride like a V11 on the road with S18 offroad ability to handle bigger stuff, and more torque and speed than any other suspension wheel. I'm waiting for a controller to get my S22 running again. The new firmware bricked it over bms cable error. ouch
I still think sliders are a bad idea if you can achieve the same effect with pivots like in the batwheel Inmotion V10f from this channel. You can see that the sliding parts are consumable and it makes me worry how long this enclosure is going to last.
@@rhalfik Yea sure they will wear. Sliders on my S18 are scratched up badly. The S22 seems to slide much easier than the S18 did. V11 was smoothest slide, but most top-heavy of all (IMHO).
Thank you for the video, very nice riding and review!
I actually thought for a second that they had released a King-Song S20 "Mini"
I wish. I do enjoy the smaller, less heavy wheels 😆
Sliders needs a bit work and maintaining to keep it working sweet. But the rest of the wheel I am happy with. Cannot wait to try this one out on the trails I ride. Thanks for the feedback and video.
Crazy riding skills for both of you!
Very good quick review there wrongway. Thanks for that
Appreciate it U-Stride! Thank for your videos too!
Was looking forward to this soo much! Amazing vid as always Adam
slider itself is enough reason for me to not buy this one. dust, sand, small rocks, salt(winter season) and water will wear that slider out pretty fast making it useless and worst not usable.good review as always Adam! Thank you!
Great job Adam getting desperately un patient waiting for mine . But good to get reminded what I'm waiting for, 😎
Great honest review. Sadly even scooters aren’t legal in the Uk yet and so EUC legalisation is way off. However I do think the EUC manufacturers have more work to do in terms of safety and the waterproofing or lack there of with a lot of them would worry me if caught in wet weather. Financially and practical use case I’m in the inmotion v8s area so this wheel I’m not the target market but love to see the skills on show on these high end suspension wheels. The jumps abs going down stairs amazes me every time! Keep up the good work, perhaps one day I can say “monowheel is all I touch” 😃👍🏻
Thank you for the informative Video, it helped me a lot with my purchase decision 👍
Serg this last descent was amazing 😄⚡❤️
Thanks for the awesome review! I know you've only had the Master for a bit, but do you plan on doing some comparison videos on it? It seems to have a more robust and safer suspension system, which is a big concern for me as all this tech is new to EUCs.
Really enjoyed this video. Love your content Wrong Way
INSANE JUMPS! Love it - amazing! Just ordered mine. :)
Congrats and thanks SO MUCH for the generous donation! I hope you’re well!
Thanks, I really struggled with myself for a long time now not to give up hope, but now there is no hope left. The S22 is definitely not the wheel that can replace my MSP HT and is an upgrade. I cancel my pre-order!
super mini revue Adam. J'espère qu'ils vont corriger ce système de sliders c'est pour moi le plus problématique
Wish they would have stuck with the s18 sliders. They looked like linear bearings.
It still needs some work but I'm glad to see they made a few prototypes and listen to feedback from veteran riders.
Can't wait to see what they're going to release.
Dang, you ride that wheel well!
One would think that it would be an easy adaptation in manufacturing for KingSong to start installing sliding pads of something more easily gliding but still abrasive tough material. Regarding the back heaviness of the euc, would it be possible for the factory to move the battery packs slightly in the needed direction. Given the weight of the batteries one would think it wouldn’t take much to gain a good balance for the euc. And then replace the gimmicky back handle wit a rigid functional one. And waterproof the wheel?
Maintenance is the reason why I preordered the v12 HT instead of a V11, s22 or other suspension wheels.
You should make a video comparing suspended to non-suspended wheels.
What are the pros and cons of suspension and is it really worth it? How important and how different is suspension for normal city commute with potholes and such.
Right now I can't decide between V11 and V12 as a new rider.
Thanks for a nice review, couple of comments:
- Regarding the water damage on those packs dropped in water, I don't think any wheel or batteries would survive that to be fair and it's too much to expect from manufactures at this point in time, other than that this wheel seems to have pretty good water/rain-proofing, big plus for bearing seals.
- Samsung 40T cells I believe was exclusive to eWheels because they demanded that, I don't think it's a global thing, unless you have a source saying otherwise?
- Sliders is a bit unfortunate but it does seem that dry PTFE lube really makes them work a lot better, ecodrift did the same thing with great results. As with any suspension system it will require maintenance, the key question is how often and how difficult it will be to perform it.
-Shame that the lights are so blinding, I had higher expectation honestly.
the v12's battery packs are ipx7 rated for complete submersion
@@thewinter_ no they aren't, IPX rating is something that EUC manufactures like to claim without merit, it costs a fortune and is a lengthy process to get something IPX certified and a small niche Chinese company is not going to do that. Does the V12 have good waterproofing? Yes surely but I would definitely not recommend submersing it in water.
yeah unfortunately the 40T cells only go to eWheels in the USA I wrote to my ewheels to check
If Kingsong is reading along, I'd be more than willing to trade top speed for torque as well! That would make me consider the wheel again, provided the other problems addressed by Adam are resolved.
low end torque is much better now. I ride a Sherman and I just want something I can goof around on in the dirt. Can't wait to get one and learn it's limits.
hey what size sai pads are they are they the normal size one or the xl? thanks
Great video! How would you say it compares overall to the v11?
Nice colors! I hope the KingSong Santa Claus hooks you up. 🙂
holy shit these things have come so far dude your sick on tht thing
Adam, my assumption for the rubber slider is that King Song wants to create a suspension system that if you are on a smooth road you won’t really need the suspension to kick in as a suspension would actually slow your acceleration. But not sure if my assumption it right
05:55 damn, the brakes work HELLA good 👍
This wheel should have way more torque. It sounds like the software isn't coming close to allowing you to unlock the power that should be available. Really hoping future firmware fixes this. It's a super cool wheel I'd love to see KingSong get another win, as their suspension innovation is pioneering and their safety measures seem to be decent.
Hey! I really like your white knee guard can you tell me where you got it ?
Please tell me where I can buy the power pads you you for the s22
So I did not understood is it demo S20 or S22 in the video?
I WATCHED YOUR WHOLE VIDEO, IM GOING TO WAIT NOW UNTIL THEY HAVE ALL THE BUGS WORKED OUT AND YOU GIVE IT THE OK TO BUY, THANKS.
Made pre order for my s22 but now I don't know if I want it. Seems, every wheel i pick and then I watch your review and I do not want it anymore because of to many negatives :( (any wheels you actually recommend?)
Good job, again!
Should I just get RST now or wait for this?
It would be my first EUC and my plan is casual riding but neighborhood is not flat and also has some basic gravel baths to trek on which are not flat but nothing too crazy.
gosto muito dos seus videos sou seu fã recentemente comprei um s16 mas ta dificil eu aprender a andar meio pesado pra mim q nunca andei de monociclo se alguma dica?
Just an idea about the slider problem - what about laser cutting a new motor mount and using 4 MGN-09 miniature linear rails instead of sliders? If the sliders are the biggest problem I have multiple ideas on how to mod it :D You can even 3d print new ones regularly out of nylon, or we can try using rollers or smooth rods.
suspension slider mechanism looks like total crap, very high potential of issues here.
And probably producer doesnt change it, too much to change.
4k usd for something like this sounds like joke.
Are you planning to do a review on Sherman Max with road tire? What's your opinion about this wheel?
At the speed it can move and it's range, I could probably use it for a daily commute to work for most days. Only a few times I'd have to drive the car because I need to stop and get things, but that would likely be just once a week.
Does it have speakers? That was the main reason I decided not to go with the S18
I’m quite confused, is it the S 20 or the S 22? Are there two separate models?
Спасибо за обзор, было очень интересно. Я пользовался Sherman, но сейчас хочу колесо с подвеской. И это хороший вариант 👌
Wanted to ask, are you using “Soft Mode?”
From TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY YOU GO ADAM 1 LOVE & PEACE
Adam do you think KS will be able to fix/ will fix the slider design on the S22? Is it just a matter of replacing the rubber with metal or another material and creating a semi seal for the sliders to prevent dirty abs what not from getting in there?
I loved the suspension when I ride the S20/S22 it's magical I really hope they'll fix it 🙏.
Do you know are they going to redesign the board or do anything major? I heard they're withholding for an unknown reason atm.
curieux d'avoir une réponse aussi
Another top-notch video!
so the production wheel will call S22 instead of S20?
how's it compare to the begode master?
@ 10:40, use silicone spray to lubricate.
Very nice review. Ideal length for me. Do you plan also review V12HT and compare it with V12HS? :-).
Thanks! V12 is under way to me
Got one of these ordered. Now I'm having doubts.
Just a tip.
When compering the charging it is better to note the chargers power in Wats.
Since 5 A on one charger is not the same as 5A on a higher voltage charger.
Power = Voltage * Current
Fair point. Thats also why i give charging time
Hi ! anyone : how to unlock the sppeed liiter on the S22?
So, what is the difference between the S20 and the S22?
What about fires? S20 exploded so hard on U-Stride. Did they fixed it with S22?
I'm surprised they didn't use something like Delrin for the sliders. I'm not surprised by the lack of a IP rating since they can be prohibitively expensive to get, since they can't recoup the cost since it's a low volume product. Even in the smartphone world (which is certainly smaller than an EUC), some of the non-big name manufacturers will not get the rating, but have all the protections in place regardless. I don't recall seeing any EUC with a IP67 rating, could be wrong though. Even the high profile Onewheel doesn't have a rating, just some claims of water resistance.
Thanks brother 🙏
your rev ride coupon code doesn't work
Great review as usual. Heads up... it's "ensure"
Awesome review, can you tell me what pads were on that v11 ? Thanks
Sai pads urban star :)
Thanks bud
Friend, in your video exactly at 6.25 minutes you put the maximum speed, I noticed that you reached 73km/h. How did you get past 70km/h when the top speed of the s22 is 70km/h, how did you get to 73km/h? As far as I know, when you reach 70km/h the unicycle stops/stops. How did you manage to close at 73km/h?
??
Thanks a lot
I've just discovered this sport a few days ago. How does the InMotion V12 HT sound for starting out?
Most people will tell you a smaller, lighter wheel is better for a first wheel. There are a lot of small muscles in your feet and legs that need to get used to this and foot pain lasts a long time. The down side of the lighter wheel is, you outgrow it in 6 to 8 months. The V12 is my second wheel and I think it's a bit too heavy to be a first wheel. I've had it for 6 months and my muscles are just now getting used to it. However, if you're someone who's going to fight through the foot pain and not quit, like a few people I know, and you're strong enough to control the added weight, the V12, it seems to be a good buy.
@@bepriceless Thanks for the response. I understand the larger wheel start will be harder, but I'm a person who likes to "learn on hard mode" and power through the pain. I'd also like to avoid selling a smaller one to upgrade in only a few months.
My other concern is that I'm around 220-230 pounds (~100kg) and I want a wheel that handle the extra bulk without feeling like I'm getting less out of it.
@@ChopperKrios I bought a Sherman max as my first wheel about 3 weeks ago and just hit 300 miles. Loving it. I also have the learn on hard mode mentality. I have ridden just about every day for 1-2hrs to increase that muscle strength and feel comfortable now around 35mph with the stock pads. I accidentally did a 2hr 30mile ride just tonight so don't let people scare you if they don't have the same will power to push through muscle aches. ~180lbs. Feet are hurting less by the day. I did have to change shoes right off the bat from my indoor soccer shoes thinking the softer material would help to, my a flatter bottom Adidas after blisters on the outside of my pinky toes formed.
Awesome skills
Great video and happy Poland Constitution Day!
Impressive footage. Looks like a decent allrounder, but it does not fulfill my expectations. Still looking for the Master 2nd gen with its flaws fixed.
me too. im happy with my v12 until a second gen master comes out
What an Intro Bro!!!
Thanks! We worked hard on it!
Can you send me a link to the shoes you wear? It looks like it would support your ankles really good? I broke my ankle a few days ago riding my V11...(actually broke my v11 too) Now I can’t ride for a few months. But I’ll be back riding when I get better, but I highly recommend everyone to get good ankle support shoes.
Those are Broger California shoes, not sure if they are available where you live
Hi Adam,
What are your customer rights if you buy the first generation & lose confidence or physical health due to injury because of the flaws?
Same as if you bought the tenth generation and lost confidence. Your ability to return a used product depends on the return policy from the seller. So, if you'd never driven it, you'd likely be able to return for a full refund or paying a restocking fee. If you have ridden it, then you'd probably not be able to return and would need to sell it to someone else. Given the demand versus supply, if you have a first gen, you'd likely have enough people interested that you could recoup most of what you spent. By the tenth gen in my facetious response, you'd take more of a financial hit.
So many mixed thoughts about this wheel, probably I will wait for a 3600wh 134v wheel 😅
6:18 Колесо педали не поднимает? Как у Готвея?
I'm really glad I didn't buy off the hype, just goes to show that it's always wise to waite a while for the reviews
I think KS will be releasing a more refine euc. I have hope for them, but I'm still going with a master. Need that extra top speed.
If you want speed go buy a Hayabusa 😁
Queria saber em que situação vc vai inclinar ele a 40º em uma velocidade de 40km/h kkkk
Change the sliders to 3D printed non-stick toughies?
I’ll be making an upgrade soon.
Yeah something like taulman alloy 910 Nylon
begode master or emperor is better?
The suspension 'cradle' that slides up and down, has only the shock on one end? The cradle tries to go up and down crooked because the shock is only at the rear end? As the suspension is now, it needs a spring and shock at the front as well... so the cradle can go up and down without being crooked. Or, the shock needs to work on the middle of the cradle, so it rises and falls evenly. The fact the cradle is crooked under load, is why the plastic/rubber /sliders wear unevenly and need replacing... and why with the shock removed, the suspension is not smooth. Until the suspension is supported at both ends, I think KS should supply at least a dozen spare sliders free with each wheel, otherwise people who buy the S22 will be ordering spare sliders after a month or two. Kingsong should be making sure they have spare sliders on hand for when many S22 owners get their wheel and find the sliders wear badly from day one. Just my opinion.
6:20 - two different alarm messages in the display, what does it say? 🤔🤓
BMS error, I’ll go into it in the in depth review
@@mr_wrongway Of course - brainfart from me🤯- thanks!😁
Good job on the review! 👌👍💪⚡⚙️💨
we need a s18 with this kind of power XD
you should’ve taken the guitar and jammed stairway to heaven as you climb those steps.
I would love to know (and with indepth reasons why) that if you could only have one EUC and money not being an option, which would it be?
What features make it stand out over the others and all the other little details on why, with comparisons to the other options?
Essentially, what EUC is the (closest to being) perfect one out there?
Should I get the v12 or do you the S22 is worth the extra money?
Do you think it’s worth getting the V12 or should I wait till suspension gets better implemented?
@@benmilstone1868 If you have patience.. wait till they announce their new inMotion wheel (V13) with suspension. (it will happen in the summer i think).. and then you can make a better choice.
I couldn’t ask for better feedback from both of you guys. Thank you so much!
Okay how the hell do you jump an EUC. Like on flat ground being able to jump and lift it up. These things are like 60+ lbs and I can't for the life of me get my v11 off the ground, even with flypads.
With suspension you can preload
The V11 has a hard ending when the suspension is fully extended. It’s a bit hard to jump on it therefore. With enough speed though, anything is possible!
The very simple answer is you need to have leg strength and then just jump.
If you don't have the ability to lift 60lbs with your legs, then you prob won't be able to do much of these jumps.
Timing and preloading. I don’t have particularly great leg strength, but it’s easy enough to get it up a curb.
