In the books Lestat mentally and emotionally tortures Louis and Claudia (according to Louis). Imo instead of them replaying the same scenes over and over again by Lestat berating them they represented the abuse by going physical. So many times we hear "oh but they never hit me" and that's bs. Abuse is abuse.

I seriously laugh so hard when I watch your IWTV reactions the entire time! I wish they were longer. You guys have to promise us now that you will react to season 2.
this episode escalated shit to a new level, it divided audiences like no other and it was a risk for the show to make that in my mind was worth it. I completely understand why some people chose to stop watching the show after this, some book fans even hated that they made Lestat THIS abusive, some hated the realistic depiction of DV and mentioned SA without TW, because AMC made the decision of not doing that (I do believe that was stupid move on their part). As a fan of the books myself, and not to spoil anything, this is book!Lestat, and the audience was fooling themselves not to think that he was capable of this type of violence. imo they gave us a pretty realistic of the cycle of violence these two have. And the journey all of these characters have to make is amazing and depressing and bittersweet but in the end, perfect. I'm really hoping the show can pull this off.
Yeah the domestic violence in episode 5 was CRAZY!!! Like I was sick to my stomach when I first saw it. Like yeah he looks hot but oh my god i just watched a man beat his house wife and child (my loving nick name for Louie and Claudia is the house wife and the mistake) I love oh our reactions so much can’t wait to see what’s next.
lol i loveeeeee sam reid but i have never hated or actually been scared of any character on television as much as Lestat, i had to keep reminding myself tht he is fictional lol cuz everytime he screamed i was legit about to shot my pants.....

So it’ll be ok hunties! Go back and listen without watching. Hear what Kestat is saying off camera. And he definitely wasn’t trying to kill Louis-I don’t care what anyone says. Because trust and believe he KNOWS how to kill him better than most. He wasn’t. 😂❤😂 Oh and before anyone misunderstands me-first i do not support domestic abuse. Period. But…er…um…they are monsters right? Not human, kill people etc etc. not your average boyfriends boo. ❤😂
😢; Lestat needs to be in vampire jail for that Beat-down he gave Louis! (I blame it on the writers.) 🛑He tryed to kill Louis... He threw him thru walls, beat him upstairs, downstairs and all thru the house, he sucked all of his blood out, and that cloud drop was horrific and heartbreaking!... ➡️Louis loves Lestat, he just has a lot of resentment for how they got 2Gather. ~I don't like how far they took that vicious beatings!👎🏼
