This was peak Lestat in his most awful moment. BUT what I love the most is how inconsistent certain things are. There's a point we're seeing this from Claudia's POV, and there are so many little details that left me wondering many many things. For example, if Lestat begged to stop, and they seemingly did.... what happened to re-start the fight? Insane.
You really called it😭
1:23 I noticed that when Rashid mentions Louie being killed by the others, Louie ignores it and acts like he doesn’t care.
I didn't notice that it's like Louis wants to die
notice how Louis never hit back Lestat during their fight until Lestat put his hands/pushed Claudia? T-T CRYINGG
I can't stop watching this season over and over...The actors in this episode, Bailey Bass in particular, are sublimely talented.
😂😂 I love how the retelling of this story is messing people up 😂😂 there’s more mess coming soon lol
Yeah this one was hard to see, but it's an honest look a domestic violence. It was so much toxic chemistry between them. They should have parted a long time ago. Looking forward to your next reaction, I know this episode was a lot to take but two more. Great recap.
They had plenty of time to come up with an explanation about the incinerator--years!
I know haha 😂 but our boys don’t have too much insight about these things.
This dark comedy of the visit from the police. Lestat and Louis in their Grey Gardens phase. Lestat doing any dumb thing to get Louis's attention. Claudia meeting another vampire. Louis not even hearing Lestat. Grace metaphorically killing Louis. If Lestat had said, I accept your apology . . . No, he said Louis; the end part was just really soft. Lestat never wears black. I didn't even think about Paul, wow. Sudden ending to the video.
Hope you have recovered from this episode. It did manage to have a lot of visceral reactions from the fans. Divided the fandom somewhat. It took most of us over a week and some didn’t got over it.Made everyone question everything. The above the clouds scene was grotesquely beautiful and heartbreaking.
I don't know whether you meant to have a link in your comment?
I actually would have loved for them to have that conversation without the fight--even taking him up to the clouds to say those lines (but not dropping him). The performance of that whole part was something.
The way Sam Reid embodies Lestart… chef’s kiss 😘
@@HuntingViolets how exactly would that scene work?
I hope you've recovered a bit from this episode. That ending was A LOT. And I think AMC+ still hasn't put a trigger warning on this episode. 🙈
This Episode took a lot out of me, but I’m better now haha 😂
I think your reactions are more genuine than those I've watched where they feel the need to hype their reactions for the watchers.
"What in the Buffalo Bill?!" Baaa-hahaha!!!
I cried a lot after this episode.. it's been so long since I read the book so I'm not sure if this was in the book but jesus... it was absolutely heartbreaking
It wasn't. Lestat of the books would never have done this. But I guess or hope doing this to the character was for a reason.
My goodness, this show is top tier amazing. So underrated.
I had forgot, until you said it, that Paul died from falling. Lestat dirty for that
Lestat is always shady and I think he was Paul’s 13th reason haha 😆
@@WhatrudoingBree I don't know. Paul asked whether Grace would be okay with Levi, got assurance from Louis that he had broken with Lestat, suggested Hazel for Louis to marry. Not unusual for a suicide to try to finish things and seem happy right before.
Lestat truly love Louis and would always do anything Louis asked of him. Unfortunately Louis asked him to let him go when they're that high 😅😅😅 I dont think it has anything to do with Paul
you are the first person that react to all scene that I want to see!!! thank you!
I have really enjoyed your recap and reactions😂😢😅🤣😭😭😭😭 the Rollercoaster and anxiety built into this show is next level‼️‼️✨️ so many feelings frfr🎉❤❤❤
Surprise about Rashid, folks ! Ps : I Felt so bad after this episode! Ps 2: Lestat: please help me , help you!
I just need Lestat to get better at reading a room! Haha 😂
Amazing reaction. I know this episode is heartbreaking and though to watch but this is my personal favorite episode of the season for the sheer emotions it brought out of me 😭
Yay! I couldn't wait til you got to this one. Messed me up. 😥
This Episode messed up the entire fandom, but it’s great television haha 😂
Omg it just hit me he's killer from the books
This was such a tough episode
I just love your reactions, Brianna!
🙄...💭This was the most feminine I've seen Lestat look on the show... (13:30) 📍Sam Reid should get at least 10 or more Major awards for this role! 🎬🏆❤👍🏼
Im gonna scream i he doesnt get at least 5 winning from all awards
@@multifandomedits2024 📍He deserves all those awards because he was literally Lestat!...🏆👍🏼
💭 Let me tell you a secret... I didn't like that Lestat was cheating on Louis with Antoinette, but I do like that he is bi because it makes me feel like I still have a chance. 🤭😉 lol
@@andreabrantley6951 Hahaha i think Lestat is probably more pansexual than bi.. I feel like he's attracted to people because of who they are not what they are. That's my observation though 😅😅 And its not cheating too imo because Lestat already told Louis that he likes to have a little variety from time to time.. and we only see Antoinette and no one else. At least hisvariety is only that one person 😬😬😬
@TheThingAbout.MattHarryNiko 💭He told Louis he like variety, But that was after they were already together!., AND he don't want Louis seeing anyone else, so he can't do it either! (Lestat lied several times saying he wouldn't see her anymore!) 🔄 But I try to look at things from both of their point of view... Lestat didn't expect Louis to have such a hard time with feeding on people, and with him mostly feeding on animals, he was weak and his libido was low. (that's why I think Louis let it slide the first, but he really didn't want Lestat seeing her!) >I was thinking that Louis must've really been a good vampire because ain't no way I would let her be touching my man!... (he would've had to bring her to me with her head chopped off to prove to me that he wasn't gonna see her anymore.)
i’ve watched this show several times i never clocked how the parallel of how paul died?!? 😭😭😭 @22:50 the PAINNNNN
Tough ep. Love Claudia ❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I heard Claudia say daddy Lou, I wanted to beat Lestat a** myself. Wow. Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson and the actress that played Claudia sorry I can't remember her name should get ready and make a place on the shelf to put their awards on.
What would honey and pineapple do for Louis? He can't taste food properly.
I’m not sure either 🤔 but Rashid was definitely enjoying himself ! Haha 😂
@Elliot Alderson you are right - no its not part of the book besides the alcohol. They cannot taste it in a sense like humans taste things, if they drink they drink life energy, they drink the humans memories (they can see them), their whole life - its like extasy. Blood usually is described as rich, thick, sweet, pure energy, light.
But if there is a lot of alcohol in the blood, they can get drunk. Lestat got drunk once or twice by drinking the blood of someone and he did not like it, because it makes him feel dizzy. As for food, sickness and so on it has no effect on them, they do not taste the food. Poison and drugs is another thing, it will have an effect because just like the alcohol it goes directly into the blood stream. So it is different from food.
But the show chose to depict it that way although I do think they are just messing with Daniel and the audience and it is not meant to be taken literal unless they bring it up again and make it part of the show lore.
@@WhatrudoingBree oh he was.
; That fight was horrible!... It was Disgusting, Sad and hard to watch! (That's not love Lestat!)🤨😢👎🏼/ ➡Going off the actions of the characters on the show., When i saw that fight *ep.5 I was thinking... Lestat is really beating Louis up about that one hook-up he had with Jonah in *ep.3) 😏~Lestat seems like the type of vampire that would hold a grudge about something for 100-200yrs. (while ignoring his own actions.) / Nice edit.(19:12) lol
louis is a classic domestic violence victim. he still sees what he wants to see and won't acknowledge that lestat is incredibly toxic to be around.
This episode was tough to watch. I haven’t read the books but do you know why Lestat bit him? Someone said it may be considered r*pe in the books. But I wasn’t sure if it was to kill him or to force him to stay so he can heal ?
Also, I was surprised Louis didn’t respond to his question. Is it because Louis still loves him?
In the books the only thing considered "vampire r*pe" is making a vampire without consent. But I think, as with any type of predator, biting is a form of dominance. I really don't think there was other reason but possessiveness.
probably to make a point of I chose you I gave you my blood, now I take it back.
In the book there is no sex they have no use for it, it does not do anything for them, they are not human any longer. The highest extasy and intimacy is drinking blood and killing. So drinking another vampires blood is the highest form of intimacy and therefore taking it without consent is a metaphor for ... So you could also take it this way, would be fitting of the scene tbh.
@corpeter but, it's not the book...as you can see, they're clearly having sex in this show...the book and this show have very distinct differences which makes it very interesting to watch...
@@BoyTheBlack so what? There was a question how this scene could be considered and the question was regarding to something they heard about the book. I was simply refering to the question specifically considering the book and why it could be considered r*. And that even though they changed the show and including sex (btw I was totally not complaining about it or the take, nor saying that it is not an interesting take - do not know where you got that impression) the same explanation regarding the blood drinking still holds imo nevermind the changes.Other blood drinking scenes in the show play also into it and just makes me think easily could be interpreted that way still. And just because someone mentions the books does not mean a critique to the show. People are too easily ready to take things negatively instead of keeping an open mind when someone mentions the books. I mean they still hold the books as a source so refering to them to try understand scenes is valid, is it not?
@corpeter they simlpy changed it for the TV show to make it more explicit, entertaining as well as thought provoking...the movie was very boring (to me)...I'm glad the changed things to make it more interesting (and I never read the book, therefore I can't make a comparison)... I just really enjoy the show...
No matter how many times I watch people react to this episode it still triggers me.. What got me annoyed the most is when "Lestat says I chose you!". I was like you mean when you chose him and Antonnette right? That's what you mean??
He admitted to Louis that sometimes he likes a litle variety which we understand, coz he also said "what we're doing is hard". He's not really cheating Louis because he's just "using" Antoinette. Louis never said "i love you" to Lestat, not even once. And Lestat is very scared of being abandoned too.. Its really tragic.
What if he had accepted her apology?
Then Louis could have had at least one peaceful night, he needs it haha 😂.
@@WhatrudoingBree Hahah. Yeah, I guess it would have only staved things off a bit.
lestat vs armand, lestat vs niklaus mikaelson who winner?
Lestat couldn't handle Klaus
@@piscesking3434 Klaus is way older, but Lestat has abilities, but that would be an interesting fight.
Lestat, he always come back.
@@lstarsabb Lestat stop world and kill klaus ?
@Elliot Alderson if lestat has no white oak can't kill an original sorry love
💖
I love the show but hated this episode honestly. the abuse scenes got to me so bad. and I know they were meant to and in that respect they were shot great but it was so out of character.. Lestat NEVER did this to Louis he would never beat him up like that and he was not such horrible abuser to him, and if he did beat him up with half of his strength he would literally kill him. and sometimes I am confused what the show is trying to do. In behind the scenes producers said they wanted to make new alternative version of "Interview" that is more nuanced that the 90s movie.. that doesn't paint Lestat in worst light and incorporates more of his character development from other books. But then they turn around and make him look even worse than the movie. There was no such abuse in the book. Sure they had fights but verbal only. I can not imagine Lestat would ever do this to Louis. ironically, the biggest abuse in the first book is that done by Louis and Claudia to Lestat... so yeah, I'm not down with that. Having said that as a show on it's own, separate from books, it was done great and it was gut wrenching and performances really sold it.
UNRELIABLE NARRATOR.
