Lestat is literally like a walking temptation 😅 From his voice, the way he talks about things, his gaze, his physique, his impeccable style, the way he sways his hips when he walks/his swagger, his hair, his jawline, and even his intimidating confidence. He just makes you want to forget everything and fall into his world. But in reality, he is a ticking time bomb of toxicity 😂😂 The casting was perfect! 😊 Of course, your commentary is everything as well lol. You be perfectly explaining what I’m feeling and thinking 😆💕
He is a bit skinny for me. Lestat has no abs and his legs are a bit stick like. Like his tush though. Pinterest has so many nice pictures of him. I've got over 40 and a few gifs. This host is funny, like her and I can't hatdly wait for season 2. Wander sometimes how they wash the blood off. I'd like to see Lestat and Louis in a claw footed bath together.
100% true. He is the ultimate irresistible temptation, and the disguised horror who ends your life and extends it into an in-dead state of utter eternal misery, yet still, his charms make the horror worth considering. Sam Reid doesn’t just portray the character Lestat, he has managed to become him; on film there is no boundary between Sam and Lestat, they are one, making the performance impeccable. I’d rather die a million deaths than be damned to eternal life as a vampire....buuuuut.....damn that Lestat for even making the thought of it remotely tempting. Sam Reid as Lestat is sinful sinful sinful! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Perfectly stated. He is 💯 irresistible and hence 💯 dangerous. Everything about him (except that deadly temper and his ability and desire to curse you with the endless torture of potentially eternal life) draw you to him, like a moth to the flame. Being seduced by Lestat is a guarantee of misery, and yet you are helpless against his charms, at least I’d be, utterly helpless. Indeed casting was perfect and speaks to the talent of the actors. Sam Reid doesn’t portray Lestat, it’s as if he’s not exactly suffering a complete possession of the character Lestat, but rather like a stage or two before complete possession, I believe the term that’s used in paranormal investigation is oppression or obsession, depending on the stage the person is affected. Sam Reid’s performance is practically indescribable; he IS Lestat, he’s incredible. Jacob Anderson does an excellent job portraying the complex character of Louis as well. But God, Sam Reid as Lestat, incredible. Can’t wait til season 2, Lestat will be PISSED. That’ll be one hell of a performance!
@lynnettedevries1824, your opinion of his physique is perfectly understandable; everyone’s preferences vary. In the case of Lestat, some of us will be wildly attracted to him physically ( 🤚 ), others not so much, yet his attractiveness goes beyond the physical. Despite the fact that he is absolutely horrible and genuinely abhors humans he is still a walking, talking tractor beam.
I will say - Lestat is telling them the god's honest truth when they asked their questions, about Paul and his maker.
I see your point, I keep going back and forth. The Lestat that we see in episode 6 is a lot different than who he was in episode 1. 👍🏾☺️

All Louis ever thought about was Claudia. I kind of don’t blame Lestat for cheating in the later part of the marriage.

Claudia is the reason for everything bad between Loustat. @@PLLittleMama2007 And people always say Lestat is cheating on Louis with Antoinette when it was clearly stated by Lestat that from time to time he like a little variety. Louis knew that. And Louis practically ignore Lestat in that sense (romance side) when he said he dont have energy much at all because of his "vegetarian diet".

Oh yes i remember but i dont believe at all that Lestat actually love her. She is just someone he went to to forget about his anger. Louis have been ignoring him romantically and Lestat is a fiery man. Like Lestat stated, he is in front ofhim (Louis) but all Louis think about and talk about all the time is Claudia. Everything Lestat said about himself is true. Claudia’s anger is getting her caught up and getting things twisted. As much as she’s trying to do good, anyone caught in between the Loustat mess is going to get hurt. That’s why no one should get into other people’s business. You need to let the people figure their things out.

I was just about to say this about Lestat telling the truth. He was also telling the truth about Paul. He had nothing to do with that either. It was either mental illness or the word of God, depending on whether you see it from our modern perspective or from Paul's. Lestat had no part to play in that, especially because in the book he hadn't met Louis yet.

Okay so, I gotta... been re-watching here, as well as the show itself on AMC+... why does Lestat look so damn good, during this whole episode. Like I'm a very proud gay woman, and DAMN. right up there with Louis in his crimson suit(s) or that cream pin-stripe one from ep 3. This couple is so aesthetically pleasing, I can't.

There were always theories about this in the books too so Anne Rice had to come out and confirm he didn't kill Paul. 😅I think that's why the show decided to set this scene during the dawn when the sun was out, but it seems some people still have these theories...
Detail: Louis is a strong vampire , because he endured all extreme violence that Lestat inflicted to him , and he was thrown thousands metres from sky, and survived ! Yep , he's brave and stronger than he thinks .
Agreed, Louis is strong in many ways. However, since he is a vampire he cannot be “killed” or destroyed simply by falling tens of thousands of feet to the Earth below. As Louis explained to Malloy, a vampire may meet its end only by a couple of methods. Drinking the blood of the deceased. Starvation. Fire.And a few more I can’t recall now. As a vampire Louis was gravely injured, but his injuries were not life threatening. Those sort of injuries cannot kill a vampire. Oh Louis, his misfortune in ever meeting Lestat...naturally dead giveaway that Louis wasn’t killing Lestat ; he refused to burn him. Cutting a vampire’s throat won’t kill him and Louis knew it.
So right about Claudia fighting all of Louie’s battles!!

I am an Old Fan. I had a lot of reservations about this show. I've been burned before and changing the canon was not an easy pill to swallow. I have really been enjoying your Hannibal reactions and decided to come back and watch this. I'm so glad I did! I fully intend to watch the series through now. And Sam Reid has been an absolute deLIGHT. He is full on Brat Prince. He is just really bad with feelings. (See also: Hannibal Lecter) Can't wait for future seasons!

I am a HUGE Anne Rice fan. I have read all of the vampire chronicles except the last one and I truly believe Lestat, though he did make Claudia for Louis, absolutely loved her. But when she started blaming him for her existence (even though it was technically Louis who took her mortal life) and she turned her cold shoulder toward him, he distanced himself from her. He ended up allowing himself to be set up (which is very un-like him) just in the hopes that Claudia had forgiven him and would love him so they could be a family. The biggest obstacle between them was always that Claudia is just like him. But in all truth, Lestat has his own moral code, especially as it comes to killing, and Lestat, in the book, was far angrier over what Armand did to Claudia to get Louis (whom he only wanted because he had been obsessed with Lestat back in Paris and Lestat would not be with him so when he stumbled across Louis, knowing Lestat loved Louis, he endeavored to have him for himself) than Louis was (Louis knew Armand could have saved her and intentionally did not and in the book, he still spent a couple of decades with him after that). However, that is not to say Lestat is a great guy. Not at all. They don't call him the Brat Prince for nothing. But in the book Interview with the Vampire, as Daniel touches on in the show when he talks about the inconsistencies in Louis's story from 1973, where Lestat is discussed it's basically like if we had a bitter ex that included us in their autobiography. lmao They do, however, make up at the end of the next book in the series and Louis and Lestat continue to see each other now and then throughout the years. In fact, at the end of The Prince Lestat (the third-to-last book), Louis tells Lestat that he's the love of his life and Lestat replies the same. So they do fully work their shit out....eventually. lol
I love your channel. I've been watching it for hours. lol I am now going to watch your reaction to the Mayfair Witches because I read the books and I LOVE the first book and so far, I absolutely despise the show, which really disappointed me after the perfection of the Interview with the Vampire show. So I am interested to see the opinion of someone who hasn't read the books. And since I love your personality, it might be enough to keep me from becoming infuriated at that damn show. 😂

This episode was good. It was hard to watch heal from his wounds, suffer from ptsd then depression. I was wondering if Lestat loves Louis and wanted to prove how he changed. Why did he keep seeing Antoinette and wanted to be caught? Did anyone else heart break when Louis described his love? "I loved her with all my heart and him with a wounded one." He was so dissociative during the love scene and looked like he was just enduring it. I also wondered if Louis really wants to kill Lestat or manipulated to want to by Claudia ? especially since he's more emotionally vulnerable right now
I was kinda surprised seeing how much little details you noticed about Rashid during this season, because I was flabbergasted when he turned up in Daniel's dream/memory at the end of this episode! It totally took me by surprise!

He said he could be shame free, unapologetically his self, etc. Well he made things worse for him, and gave him more to be ashamed of!... He beat him, cheated on him, and would get upset that he didn't want to feed on people. tf!

(I bet most of that was about that one hook-up with Jonah in ep.3, 🤨Even though '4-Of-Course Lestat' said it was ok... (and he cheated with Antoinette for 10-20yrs!)
Please read the books it seems alot of you are taking your info only from the series read the chronicles. Lestat is what we know him as the Brat prince but he is more complex than that he has a dual nature complex. He is kind too he shows tenderness in his own way. Read Memnoch the Devil, Queen of the Damned and Blackwood Farm.
