I first heard about this after Joe Rogan's producer (Jamie) got one. It would be interesting to hear his opinion after a year+ of having the mattress. I have read reviews that it is quite firm, but that depends on the subject.
I’m so glad you guys reviewed this bed! I had thought this bed was similar to the SleepNumber beds with the added bonus of a cooling technology. Now I know better. This video did make me wish you all would review the sleep number bed and it’s direct competitor. I really want to know if the technology the Sleep Number bed offers is worth the amount of money and if it’s bed material is great quality. As someone who needs a bed that can respond to my body’s different needs. I have been wishing for a number bed but my research feels like it’s falling flat and I think a detailed review from you guys can help me determine whether their beds should be an option. I have been recommended to get the C4,P5, and the i8. Thanks again for this review it cleared up what this bed offers for me.
This looks pretty neat. Its nicely thought out. I definitely wouldn't mind this to sleep on. Its just to bad that as you stated its not the best for side sleepers and im on my side almost the entire time. Still its a very nice mattress and its nice to see how techie they are getting to help you sleep better.
This is so cool! I had no clue something like this even existed. How nice and cozy would it be to crawl into bed on a cold winter night after having this heat up?!
Hi Marten. Don't think the Eight Sleep is the mattress for me because I'm a side sleeper and it is just a little too firm for me. I do like the cooling/heating technology though. Could use some cooling in the summer. Thanks for the review!
This sounds like a lot of work to go to sleep... not sure how I feel about all the extra tech and information. Seems like ke another thing to worry about , but the concept does sound nice, being able to set cooling for certain times at night to make it comfortable all night. I have to mull this one over...🤔
First, there was the smart watch....now there's a smart bed!?! Seems like a very high tech way to affect the temperature. Seems like tech overkill, and would be curious to see their sales numbers. Thanks for the review!
Wow! It does everything except take your blood pressure and blood sugar! I think that it’ll also be great for people who have certain heart or respiratory diseases who need to keep track of their rates while sleeping. Thank you!
Too much tech, too much that can break. Although I can see someone who sleeps very hot and needs cooling help, this would be very helpful. The most tech I want is an adjustable base, and even that scares me. I had a high tech washer and the motherboard broke so it was a brick.
Wow! Sleep tech has come a long way. Probably not the best fit for me as I am heavier and needing something within a realistic price range. I'm certain the abilities would be great for those willing to track sleep trends, sleep hot and can afford that luxury.

Lol
Not keen on spending the coins for this mattress. I am a classic mattress kind of girl! At 214# I think I need a hybrid mattress and I am interested in latex.
Martin here from the comments section. Not big on spending a lot of money for smart bed as tech usually only lasts about 5 years, but I'm a hypocrite since I update my phone every 2 years and its expensive. I will add, poor Windows Phone users...

What did you phone do to you for you to have beat it like that?
105 Days in, mine leaked and turned my mattress into a wet sponge. Customer service was very little help

I would love one of these for its cooling technology but too firm for me as a strict side sleeper and its too pricey
You can buy just the cover and put it on nearly any mattress you want. I put one on a Purple and it fit perfectly.
I worry about the maintenance of the water tubing and active grid in the mattress...great concept though.

I love the cooling tech this has. just wish they would make it SMART enough to be SOFT ENOUGH for us side sleepers...lol BUT maybe someday...THANKS.
Seems like a great idea but me and hubby would never agree on a setting I think I will pass on this one
Each side of the bed can be controlled individually, one side can be hot and the other side cold.

Love all the features but wish they have a 5 year warranty. My earlier version of the Eight Sleep pod died after 1 year.
