I know right! Green Hills Zone inspired Sega to make Toot Toot Sonic Warrior. I am surprised SomeCallMeJohnny didn't notice that.

For those who don't know, Sonic 2 8-bit was co-composed by Masafumi Ogata and Naofumi Hataya, who are the same composers for Sonic CD. Whether Ogata came up with the tune for this or Sonic CD first I'm not sure since both these games and Sonic 2 for Genesis were in development simultaneously, but it's still cool how these two worked on both games, with Tomonori Sawada as the third composer for Sonic 2 8-bit.

I think that was the point, Sega is known for remixing classic song they've made before, But I love it!
