I saw Stanhope live twice in 2019. He's a phenomenal comedian and a very poignant freethinker. He is in the echelon of George Carlin, Bill Hicks, and Bill Burr. Always a pleasure to see a fresh reaction to, what will surely prove to be, timeless material.

I would argue that No Refunds is by far his weakest and most inconsistent special- check out Deadbeat Hero or Word of Mouth for a better representation of his earlier material. Can't go wrong with Beer Hall Putsch or No Place Like Home for his later stuff. Thanks for reading.

Doug can be a bit raunchy, so I'm glad you still enjoyed it so much. Bill Burr, in an episode of his podcast, basically called Stanhope his favorite comedian. He called him comedians' favorite comedian.
I have a friend who doesn't laugh out loud as much as you or I, but still visibly enjoyed Stanhope's bit called Sex and Shame. I'd also second Nationalism.

You should check out his black and white special called Deadbeat Hero. My favorite, of his, but he's one of the best comedians because he tells the truth and makes it hilarious. Be cool if you watch more!

You missed the point about the "virgo" bit.
He was critiquing Everybody who ever took horoscopes seriously Enough to associate their personality traits with those presented as aligning with those of their zodiac sign. Therefore, IF your statement about "Virgos" lately testing your patience was something you actually Meant, then actually he was critiquing you too, because the aforementioned statement indicates you take them seriously too.
Besides, that was just an Example he gave their to Empathize what he described before as irrational - Any kind of belief system that is based on unproven statements, "facts", etc., like religion, horoscopes, palm readers, etc.
With that said, I really enjoye the reaction and I will def check out more, if you keep doing them to him. Your Carlin vids are great too, and I actually have a ton to recommend from him, but I will save that for If you are interested.
