This is really a pretty decent kit considering the price, and has room to add more to it. Better components are going to increase the cost. For example, the ESEE mess tin kit has better components, and is twice the price (worth it, excellent kit). Not sure why you are completely bashing this kit, but I bet you could not put together a similar kit for less money.
Jake I would like to see you build a kit of the same size and price and cover all the categories covered in this one sir. Thanks đ A SAK and Exotac spool is already half the price of this kit.
Part 3 could be building your own kit for the same price.
Awesome idea. Challenge accepted!
This is a fantastic kit for the price, the tools are great in a pinch. You could make snares, and cut cord. Water coverd, and all the bases. Best glide ase. Is a leader in the industry. Its easy criticize a store bought, pre-made kit. Cant wait to see the kit you build for $111.00 and cover what this kit does. Have agreat day. Subscribed and hit the bell. Cant wait.
The best pre made survival kit IMO is the one made by Esee in the large mess tin. It has all the stuff you may need and nothing you donât
I think you hit the nail on the head with where the market is for this kits. Anyone who has spent a lot of time outdoors will just build there own kits based on their skills, strengths and weaknesses as well as needs. Youâre right about the tools in this kit but considering who they are designed for a cheap tool is better than no tool. Thanks for sharing
Good luck on making your own!
Waiting for part 2
Good review. You made some good points regarding the âqualityâ or lack thereof of the contents. The container looks nice but perhaps not as reliable as one that you could use to cook on or boil water a bit on the expensive side. Additionally, aspirin is becoming more and more contraindicated for pain relief and anticoagulant properties. Itâs good to hear from an expert about just how cheaply some kits are designed and whatâs most important to meet the the needs of the outdoors. Thank you đđșđž.
I agree with everything you just said. I do like the container it comes in. Going to have to see if I can find a stainless steel version of that container. Awesome video my friend
Hi jake just shows you the brilliance of the 10cs donât it, they do everything all them items do and more plus superior quality and uses besides prob a few pills an food catchment items plus can carry on person except for a grabber and couple of liners, Iâd rather spend the 100 + dollars on good multitool and canteen setđ
These are facts!
One of the best videos I've seen. Real, down to earth and right to the point. Thanks!
Saw something similar at big lots today not sure what exactly what it had inside lol
Thank you for your hard work and your dedication. It is truly greatly appreciated. Please keep teaching and instructing. And keep making content.
Great to get a second opinion from a survival instructor. Cheers JT from Australia.
You should do a vid where you swap items with new quality items
Thanks, man, I was going to buy just a tin for my urban survival kit, but if this is aluminium, I don't need it.
thanks for the rewiew
Thanks for watching
Do you know how accurate a compass can be after a few years spent in a stainless steel mess tin?
Not sure tbh. Iâd say it would be fine as long as there isnât a bubble.
â@@buckeyebushcraftI think the question is if keeping it in a steel container is going to affect the magnetic needle over time. I don't think so myself.
I saw maby 3 things I woulda used . 111 bucks is ridiculous.
Would like to add up those items to set how bad ur getting ripped off....I've gotten done gimmick kits for a quarter of that piece and same if not better items.... last 1 has a telescoping fire bellow... love it... no multitool but much better knife..... didn't see no cordage either... awesome video
It is impressive the amount of crap in kits like this! Greetings from the woods in Sweden đžđȘ
I agree!
New sub. Nice channel! Most of the kit is junk. Couple of good items but worth nowhere near $110 imo. That multitool đ I'd wreck that in 5 secs. Looking forward to part 2. Cheers.
What's with "whistle - not a huge fan" in a survival kit???
Most bar tabs exceed $111 in 2023
Lol 20 bucks maybe worth of stuff dang they are getting people big time on that thing! Junk junk junk
I canât believe people actually buy that stuff and think itâs good
Itâs this simple. Is that âmulti toolâ a piece of crap? Yep. Is it $2 at a gas station? Nope. (probably $11-$12) Should a SAK or Leatherman be included? Yep. But thatâs gonna knock the price up at least $40. Would I personally prefer to pay $160-$180 for a kit w/ quality brand tools? Not only âyesâ but IMO the kit as presented falls under âI carry better EDCâ But if the vessel were stainless & the tools real Iâd like it
Some of your opinions seem uninformed... more research?!.. but thanks for the effort of making a video!
I teach wilderness survival for a living. I think I can tell whatâs shit and whatâs not.
So you teach Wilderness Survival for a living? Just out of curiosity, where did you get your training? What Survival School did you attend? For some reason, you seem very critical of this kitâŠ.a kit that was obviously made for very short term survival situations. Is the kit worth $111.00? Probably not, but I doubt a similar kit could be had for less money with high end components you mentioned. Case in point, The Exotac repair component. Very expensive piece of kit. No disrespect intended. Just my opinion. Something is better than nothing, and this kit, with a few upgrades would fill the bill to toss in my truck. Thanks for the video sir!
LMAO holy crap that's sooo much junk ppl might die depending on this kit
So I guess most everything in the kit is junk, Crap, trash,âŠ.. no need for part 2
Weâve gotta see it breakđ
That shouldnât take long lol
My experience has been that not a one of these pre made kits are worth anywhere near what they charge and half the things in them are useless or very limited use that could be replaced with more useful items. These kits are for lazy or uninformed/unknowledgable people that are attracted to the tacticool factor and are looking for a one size fits all kit. You can make much better kits for less money with actual useable items and multifunction items as well.
120 dollars? Really? Not worth it for that price...
Its quite funny, that you ask them to have a leatherman in there. Any leatherman model costs more than the whole kit...
@@Elias.Agg. A leatherman squirt doesnâtâŠ
You sound bitter
great review. yeah these are almost identical with the rest of the premade kits out there. not worth the money. spend a little more means you get to pick out your gear. $150 to 200 can get you a lot.
I definitely agree
