Battle Honda S2000 vs Porsche GT3 vs AC Cobra at Magny Cours F1 !

- One of my favorite sessions at the Formula 1 track of Magny Cours.
Very nice battle between Porsche 996 GT3, AC Cobra and my Honda S2000.
My S2000 setup:
- Mugen parts: Carbon Intake box, manifold, catback, Carbon front bumper, flat bottom, Carbon hood.
- ECU TracySport
- Chassis: Coilovers Tein MonoFlex, Front Break kit AP Racing, Front bar Spoon
- Wheels: 17" PRODRIVE OEM size with Yokohama Néova AD08R (215/45/17 & 245/40/17)
- Geometry adjustment: Camber Front 1° / Camber Rear 2° / Caster 6°45" / Toe Front 0° / Toe Rear 0°20

Your prodrive wheels, are they the GC-07? I see you have a big brake upgrade too, did you have to put spacers between the wheel and discs?

I'm binge watching your videos at the moment, I can't get enough. The sound of it gives me goosebumps and you drive it like a boss. Also those downshifts approaching the corner at 1:15, clean as👌, every single lap. I hope you keep posting.

Frikin awesome driving. I would like to see you and Samellio go head to head. His R32 GTR would power away on the straights but your late braking and corner speed are showing up the power and skills of every driver ,in all your vids I've watched so far. So does Samellio. +V8kila I looked at the videos of Samellio. I don't know him. He has a good driving skill. His GTR is fast in a straight line but it is lacking a rear train and brake. It has to balance the performances with my S2000.
+Xav_ S2000 Your car has been set up very well as your laps show. Possibly better than Samellios R32 GTR. I'm not sure what you mean by rear train? I thought the braking of his GTR was very good. I did ask what upgrades he had done but can't remember exactly. If I get a chance to get back to the UK and France I would like too watch these track days. In the mean time,I'm subscribed and will look forward to seeing your next outing. Thanks

So, you think everybody is bad like he likes to portray them right? he will never upload videos of him getting beat by much faster drivers, he specifically only chooses novice and uploads the video desperately trying to prove a point that the honda is better than bmw and porsche but, unfortunately, there are videos proving that wrong, and of course the nurnrinburgring laptimes don't lie.
@@kay19833 What's wrong with you? Who mentioned Nürburgring lap times? This is just a guy having fun, enjoying his S2000 to the max. Sometimes we see well-spirited "battles" on the track with like-minded petrolheads. He wants to share the experience with us through CZcams. Get of here with your superiority complex.

S2000's have incredible cornering speed. Kiechi Tsuchiya says they corner faster than the nsx. Ive seen them walk fk2 and fk8 CTR's in corners too!

That is one fast Cobra. What engine does it have?
The original had like 500 hp and the cars are much lighter than the s2000
If it’s a realistic replica with a side Oiler 427 FE engine, I’d say about 550 hp. Looks like the 427 the way it accelerates! That equates to about 4.5 pounds per horsepower!

Joli. Difficile de suivre en ligne droite face aux deux rivales mais plus efficace dans les courbes. Après à ce niveau chaque détail compte. Les deux concurrents étaient seuls dans leurs autos. Chaque kilo gagné est précieux. Mais bon... faire de la piste en bonne compagnie justifie bien quelques concessions de ce côté. Bonne continuation.

Je les connais bien :-) Je t'ai déjà vu rouler en vrai aussi à Bresse il y'a quelques années, (à une journée ou il y'avait 80% d'Impreza prépa) tu étais le seul à tenir le rythme d'une 996 GT3 gris métal dans les 1.45 me semble-t-il... Les Impreza étaient larguées. Je serais ravi de m'installer en passager à l'occasion!

Excellent Driving,next time try 1.7-2 degrees Camber in front and 2.2-2.5 at the rear,you will have more fun. That is what i use at Yas Marina Track
Brilliant driving and great to see you using first gear for the very slow corners, use second and you’re below 6000rpm you’re fucked.
Don't know why you set your car tend to oversteer, but nice video. Might wanna try more camber in the front and lower the rear.

Fantastic S2000 driver! But I wonder how much power that Cobra had? It was poor in the corners, and it seems to have sloppy brakes, but it pulled away fast on the straights.

What is the skill discrepancy? Seems like some of those guys had some issues with yielding to faster drivers. Not just poorer corner handling, but poorer etiquette.

Amazing driving as usual BUT i've noticed that sometimes you re closing your line a bit early making the car oversteering and loosing time. Your ''opponents'' in front don't do that, spreading the gap. Thanks !

The engine of the S2000 goes to 9000tr . This allows for a flexibility even in first gear .

That cobra is just drag racing from turn to turn...guess they weren't really meant for much else...maybe they were considered to have good handling back in the day.
Cobras depend on how they are set up apparently... Especially with today's Cobras...
3 Link, 4 Link, Levy 5 Link, Ford 8.8 IRS, Jaguar IRS, BMW IRS, so many rear ends that could totally change the way it handles...

This video is so annoying. Twice I have watched it and both times got to the end with a COLD coffee by my side. Totally engrossed from start to finish.
