    Mercedes have done some significant upgrades on their car prior to the Montreal GP. And it seems like they are up to the chase when it comes to catching Ferrari and Red Bull. This has been noted by the Red Bull’s executives Christian Horner and Helmut Marko, the chief of drivers’ development program. But what is it that made the Mercs competitive again, and have they fixed the porpoising problem once and for all? More importantly, is the team now competent to match the tempo of Red Bull and be a direct threat, just like last year? These and many more questions will be answered in the video, so stick with us until the very end!
    In today's video we look at Red Bull’s AFRAID of Lewis Hamilton, Here’s WHY. Keep watching to see the latest F1 News, F1 Highlights.

Was passed with ease by Checo as well. "Amazing pace" indeed. The Mercedes might look scary to Alpine, McLaren and Haas though. @@akarshshekhar5233 How are you so right, and be so far from the truth?? Like god damn. Left every important thing out, and talked about race position, and not why he was in that position. In quali, they had a shot for pole (mainly lewis) but the team asked them to do one more out lap, and to push on their final laps. Unfortunately for the drivers, the rain came down a lot more, and Lewis’s brakes were too cold, while Russel made too many mistakes because of the poor conditions. In the race, Hamilton was single handedly the fastest man on track and would’ve won the race had it not came down to the safety car (again) and Lewis had a a bad restart, and getting caught up in a fight with Norris. That allowed the Red Bulls and Ferrari’s to create a gap. Once Lewis passed Norris, he began gaining in the Ferraris every lap, and getting the fastest laps multiple times in a row. Sainz and Leclerc pitted just after he had caught up. After the restart, that helped Perez get back up in the fight, but both Perez and Max were absolutely dirty. Pushing their competitors wide, cutting some corners, and getting an advantage from it, and not get a penalty. Sergio pushed Leclerc wide multiple times, and pushed Hamilton for second place. Only reason Lewis didn’t win after the safety car is because of the battle. Carlos was able to escape it first and build a gap, then Sergio escaped after, and then Lewis escaped after battling with Leclerc. Because of this, Sergio and Carlos had a large gap, however Lewis was gaining in them a few tenths a lap. Sadly for Lewis, there wasn’t enough racing laps, and he had to settle for third after closing down the gap to a huge 3 seconds from 6 seconds, in like 4 laps

    Well I've seen the sprintrace at the Red Bull circuit today and I don't think they can believe they are fast enough yet. I don't think Max went flat out, because Charles and Carlos were fighting behind him and still George came in more than 13 seconds later. Not to speak about Lewis, who had so much trouble overtaking Mick and "arrived" after more than 35 seconds later.
    Having seen Q3 friday it looks to me the Merc is very tail difficult and unpredictable when it reach the limits.

  • @chrisparti
    @chrisparti Před 2 lety +14

    The RedBull and Ferrari advantage has been proven to be the flexing safety plank issue. The plank has always been put there to stop cars from running too close to the floor after Senna's death back in 1994, it is a safety feature that has always been revered by engineers as sacrosanct, finding a way around a well established safety rule to gain a performance advantage, is why the FIA are putting a stop to it. I'm surprised they have not been penalised as the safety plank is a big deal in F1. Basically the closer a car gets to the ground the more the downforce it has, but it is not a linear increase in downforce, it increases exponentially, so if a car is too low, even a slight change in height from driving over a bump in the track, can cause a sudden massive loss in downforce, which if it happens on a fast corner will send the car straight off the track with no warning. If the plank is flexing it is allowing the car to ride a height below safety regulations and could be very dangerous. Mercedes didn't even know that RedBull and Ferrari were doing this, the FIA found out themselves. Apparently there were very stern words from the FIA, because just saying they were 'exploiting loopholes in the laws' is no defence when dealing with a 28 year old safety law that was put in place after such a tragic accident.

    • @chrisparti
      @chrisparti Před 2 lety +2

      @@andrewtorrens947 If they followed the rules why are they being forced to change it them?

    Hamilton is an amazing driver. One of the best, but this seasons start and upgrades show that the car, not the driver are to praise for their success. That you Mercedes engineers!

      @norman-m [KANDAGAIGO] that mercedes was so good, iam 100% sure most of the driver would have had multiple wdcs with that car against bottas

      @norman-m [KANDAGAIGO] thats not what i am saying im just saying if lewis did not race for mercedes than any other decent driver would have gotten multiple wdcs. im not saying lewis is bad just saying that alot of drivers would have beaten bottas and won multiple wdcs. and max and lewis are just from a differnt level in comparison to the other drivers

    bruh no one is scared of mercedes or hamilton this season. if anything they should be scared of russel whom even with a slow car has been consistently beating hamilton getting p4s p5s and p3s except maybe for the last pair of races

      Don’t forget, they still can win the constructors without winning any race. Even on Sunday, Mercs bagged the most points home.

    Interesting mis-pronounciation of a lot of words. Mercedes isn't "bluffing" it is called "sandbagging". Pretending to be slower than you are.
