I was lucky enough to see them 7/69 at MSG. Awesome show.The band Free opened up the show along with B&D and Friends. The ticket was for 6 bucks
They only did one album but all of the songs (except for maybe the drum solo song - depends on your tolerance for drum solos, LOL) are solid and worth a listen.
when the 60's&70's was happening i don't believe we realized just how lucky we were to have this level of talent from sooooo many different bands and artists which i don't believe will ever be repeated. people don't seem to be near as creative now that we are bombarded with way too much and don't have the need to create and think and dream as all these artists did.
'Had To Cry Today' and 'Can't Find My Way Home' are standout songs from this album. Steve Winwood and Clapton are very close friends. Clapton enjoys playing with friends and musicians he respects.

When the BF tour was over, Clapton went on tour with them and brought along George Harrison. The backing band of D&B became the core of Derek and the Dominoes, which recorded Layla and Other Love Songs, one of the great albums of all time. Unfortunately the band was not given time to mature before they were thrown to a massive tour. All though the musicians had solid backround, especially Stevie Winwood and Eric Clapton felt that they weren't enough together, leading to uneven performances.

Love eric Clapton and his bands! You gotta start reacting to him live! It is such a different experience then his studio songs and he has amazing live solos. Plus he sounds better live in my opinion:)

The song isn't about the Christian God or Jesus. Clapton wrote the song after reading a book about the Persian religion Zoroastrianism while kicking heroin. The book was given to him by The Beatles guitar player George Harrison.
Clapton and Steve Winwood together again! But it just wasn't meant to be as Blind Faith only recorded one album. Regardless, that one album should be in everyone's collection.

Stevie in Blind Faith and Traffic paved the road for a lot of great artists. My fav is Low Spark Of The High Heeled Boys. Check it out!
