Literally blurt them out on the page - then when you have like 3 months to the exams you pattern up and start learning all the things you wanted to/felt you needed to improve on. For Politics collate notes from classwork (I would recommend typing up) AND textbooks/revision guide, following the points on the spec and aiming to get all the notes in one place. Then make essay plans on common questions which come up. Hope it helps :)

Both quite time consuming. Do you think instead of this I should jump straight into flashcards instead so revising by learning the content through flashcards.

    How do you know if a certain piece of information is important?? Whenever I want to summarize chapters, I find myself writing the whole chapter all over again ...

    • @JakeClarke
      @JakeClarke  Před 4 lety +5

      I mean I end up writing most of the chapters, but I just make sure that I do it in a condensed form, like it goes into a lot of detail in the books so I just take out the main (important) points and condense the rest into annotations that let me understand it if that makes sense?

      Krish Makwana I mean for year 13s its a weird one, but for me in year 12 I think our exams will still be on (not mocks) and so we will still have to keep it up to make sure we don’t slip. Then with predicted for uni, it’s hard for a lot of people because they didn’t really have a chance to show what they could do.

    I was just wondering how you stay so motivated at a time like this? I try to do work but it feels aimless and tedious and I just can’t see the end goal.

    • @JakeClarke
      @JakeClarke  Před 4 lety +9

      Jack Bridge Most of the time the end goal is hidden and there’s no immediate benefit to doing something. But then I look at myself and I ask myself why I am not doing it. I try to prove to myself each and every day that I am able to put in the effort and work hard. Even if on some days I simply don’t want to or can’t see why I should, it’s then that it takes most to prove to myself that I can overcome that mindset and do it. Likelihood is I’m not going to use a fair share of what I do. But I am likely to use the skills, determination and proof of effort in everything else that I do. I do it to improve not my academics, to improve myself as a person. That’s how I stay motivated :)

    Where is my historical year group of 2020. I have a problem cuz i dream of being an architect so I searched online and the 3 alevel subjects that are appropriate are maths or physics,art and computer science but the thing is my maths is average even though i got a 7 in the recent mock but it took a long time as i began with an N in the begin of year 11, also i am not good at computer science as i got a grade 1 in the recent mock and physics is idk wht to say but its quite okay. So i decided tht i will choose art and psychology but i am not sure in my third chose it's basically between maths and physics, i am so confused 😕

    • @adelemorgan7604
      @adelemorgan7604 Před 4 lety

      @This is Humaira If you would like to go into architecture computer science is not necessary and if you don’t like art (although sometimes preferred) u can take product design (tech) as an alternative. Depending on the type of architecture u want to go into, either the graphical or engineering side, it is not completely necessary to take art but u will likely need both physics and maths- honestly maths make physics a level easier. If ur dream is to go into architecture then psychology is not really going to benefit u and ur chances getting into courses. Depending on the uni things may change so carry on researching uni courses etc or even college courses/apprenticeships and don’t completely take my response to heart as I may be wrong. Hope that helps! Sorry this was so long. What I said was a traditional route into architecture but there are so many other ways ...check out Margaret belles video on it she went to a uni which didn’t require physics and maths.

    Or did you just try understand what the book gave you?
