- Although it could’ve been easily missed with all of the movies twists and turns, Fantastic Beasts 2 The Crimes of Grindelwald spends a bit of time exploring the Lestrange family tree.
In the movie Credence Barebone is orphaned and believes his true identity is Corvus Lestrange, so he goes to Paris in search of his mother. However Leta Lestrange has a dark secret about what really happened to her brother Corvus

I think that Rodolphus Lestrange came from the same line of Leta. Corvus V is alive and he was in Crimes of Grindelwald. JKR’s story for FB2 was destroyed in the editing room and the third chapter is a bad story by Steve Kloves
He is not albus’s younger brother he is Abeforth dumbldore’s son which means albus dumbldore’s brother’s son.

I still don't get it. Leta and Corvus are in the ship and she swaps Corvus for Credence... What was Credence doing on the ship (Is it Aberforth's gf being sent away with her son?), and why would he be thought to be Albus' brother and not his nephew??
So in the end Leta and Credence grow up together?? Then he wouldn't be a lost child. If anything, he'd be under the false assurance that he's a Lestrange.
I don't think so she watched secrets of dumbledore cuz this vid was prolly released on march and secrets of dumbledore was released on april. In that film, albus explains tht credence is aberforths son with his gf.. and i heard ppl say tht it was aberforth's gf's sis with credence on the ship-
