Tom and Emma are really close, to the point that they're considered brother and sister in my eyes, and nothing more. The same can be said for all the younger cast members of the Harry Potter film series. They're literally like siblings to one another. Come what may, I like to believe that they'll always have each other's backs.

Such a respectful young lad he was. It’s cute he still sees her in the same light. They would’ve been a power couple if they actually dated though. But, even when she was old enough to date him I’m sure he would’ve been slandered for it. We all know how people and media can be.
I think that was one of the issues limiting beliefs about age and prob other things maybe but she probably wasn't aware of that at the time but she could of easily got him lol I think so anyway but either way as long as they are happy

Part of me wants those two to be together, esp. when I watched the reunion programme yesterday and saw how Tom smiled and blushed when Emma hugged him and how she clung to his arm. HE would defo go for it I'm sure. But I would also be afraid of the public pressure on them if they did get together.

The fact that Emma and Tom loved each other at different times is disappointing, but let's just appreciate how they have stayed good friends, alot of people wouldn't be able to be friends after that even if they care for each other. But all that said, who knows what'll happen in the future 😊

I think he doesn’t want to wreck the friendship, but he definitely has deep feelings that he hasn’t sorted yet. With Emma it’s obvious, hopefully he doesn’t figure it out too late when she’s walking down a path in a white dress. Tom and Emma reminds me of Lorelei and Luke from Gilmore Girls slow burn. Or Maxwell and Fran, and we’re all like Niles practically hitting ourselves in the head trying to make it obvious to him. If they stay friends that’s ok, but their chemistry is off the charts, as in it would be super awkward to be on a double date with them.
Just watched this today..amazing reunion. Harry Potter was a big part of my childhood growing up and seeing this made me emotional. Miss it alot... Reading the books & then the movies made me feel like I was in it too on an adventure with them.
When I was a kid, and it was my first time watching Harry Potter, I used to ship Draco and Hermione because I sensed a great deal of chemistry between them. I thought this "chemistry-between-them" is seen only by me (Any fan girld dream)-fast forward to 2022-I was right all along and it was not just me, but also everybody!
That "Lucky man, lucky man!" was enough to know it!
Reminds me a little of the Ross/Rachel or more accurately David/Jennifer friendship and what was said during the Friends Reunion although it seems they went further than these two.

@@benparsons4979 a lot of people read fanfictions. You would be surprised how much dramione content is out there which is very well written and close to canon. A lot of people saw potential in dramione and some just loved the forbidden enemies to lovers scenario between them. There's a lot of ways to ship characters.
I think that it's the fans who hope that "Draco and Hermione" will get together in real life and have a happily ever after. It's possible. I married my best friend and he is my happily ever after and I do my best to be his.💙💕💙

Tim Felton is the ideal guy for a girl to have their first crush on. She was too young for him, and he never reciprocated, or hurt her feelings, but just remained a protective older brother type to her. I remember being 10-13 and having those intense crushes on boys a little older than me, and thank goodness they were gentlemen too and never crossed a line. It's a wonderfully safe way to have a crush when you're going through puberty.

The key here - is what Tom says about her being 3 years younger than he was. When he was 12 she was 9. That difference was a quarter of his life.
Later on - once you're in your twenties or thirties - 3 years isn't that much - but for kids in their early teens it's insurmountable.
Yes - it's common for younger girls to have crushes on older boys - but - for an older girl or boy - they are not going to have a crush on a younger person - at least for the most part.
So - like Tom said - he saw Emma as like a younger sister - and felt very protective of her. He loved her - but he loved her like a sister. The thing is - for Emma - that's the way she felt about Rupert and Daniel. That's why she's said she had trouble kissing them. She said it felt like incest. She used that word. Like she was kissing her brothers.
People who are part of something like making the _Harry Potter_ franchise - experience a lot of things together and have strong bonds with each other. You see that with actors all the time. The other thing about that - is they have these really intense experiences - and then it's over - and they all go their own ways and my never see each other ever again. So - they often treasure these relationships.

my greatest fear is meeting somebody with history w another person like this. this just makes me sad and apprehensive about the opportunity cost of growing old, having not had intense meaningful connections like this with the opposite gender in your childhood/teens. if you missed the boat then you are screwed beyond measure i guess, and whatever you may experience with that person will be tainted by their past affections for someone else. :( i want to die
