What year of the Cadillac Coupe DeVille is your favorite and why?
Cadillac will never be as great as they used to be
I like the 1949 one. It looks pretty cool
Btw what markers do u use?
1959,BUT Eldorado Biarritz. Cool tail exterior, and impressive styling.
thank you for this, I sent you a mail last week about this coincidence? I think not
TheSketchMonkey you forgot the front bumper in this vid bro! that's not usual for you to leave an unfinished giant paint stroke in the finale! though the rest looked cool
I like how you turned a 1959 Cadillac into a 1960 Cadillac.
🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👍
Lol, how true
Dean Williams thing is..he’s not really modernising the chassis of the vehicles in any of his videos..he just works on the character lines and modifies them...
Essentially 🤣
He also turned a 1962 Caddy into a 1970.
that's not modernizing. its more like resto-mod version
I totally agree, he's definitely got the skills to do a more realistic modern interpretation of the classic design, this is definitely not modernising.
Dmitry James Finn, I think the problem is that if he tried to ‘modernize’ it to today’s regulations & safety standards, it would be virtually unrecognizable. There’s no way the IIHS, or the American government (or any government for that matter) would allow a car to be made available to the public today as is.
@@staarrliner4993 *3 weeks later* I totally agree, I was about to say the same thing. I'll admit it does look more like a resto-mod, but a resto-mod is essentially a modernization of an older car so this is still technically a modernization.
Raymond Loewy actually customized this car when it was new.
I was just going to say the same thing
I love your skills but damn you have bad taste in aftermarket wheels
I was going to write the same, everything is perfect until the wheels part damn 😅
It's a car that flows, with the appearance of good aerodynamics. I agree, in my opinion the wheels aren't a good fit. A modern take on a smooth face wheel would be cool
I agree, those wheels didn’t have any flow like the car did, they were too boxy or something
Couldn’t agree more, the wheels gave the car a look of just a resto-mod. Some thing more fitting of Cadillac style is needed.
This is a theme with all of his videos I feel
Why you never re-design interiors?
I think it's interesting!
КуСоК ДоБрА It’s way more complicated to design the interior of a car, it’s more about ergonomic and comfort than design
Слишком много работы, в интерьерах важны мелкие детали.
That's a really good idea actually
I agree too
Its complicated
LOVE the design, HATE the wheels.
Modern cars can have whitewalls/hubcaps too, especially if your drawing was actually produced by Cadillac.
And he forgot *THE WHOLE FUCKING FRONT*
"The point of this is not to make a perfect looking sketch."
Proceeds to make a perfect looking sketch.
I love you man.. no homo.
Remember when Cadillac used to be about all luxury
We need these classic vehicles to come back
yanks make donky performance cars u gona be a car lover to appreciate the beauty of something like a deville these days.
@@ridanann sorry i classify modern cars as no talent bland piece of shit excuses. They don't have any character. But if you're talking about classic 50s devilles then hell yeah bro
Remember when they are still the top luxury brand in the United States....
@@TylerVogel1 and this car had character? This is the ugliest piece of shit to come out of the 1960s and 70s it may be unique but it's definitely not beautiful. Now a 66 GTO, that is a nice looking car.
not really a re-design this is just pimp my ride xD
Pimp my ride (except they forget to do the front)
Challenge
Can you turn the Eclipse Cross into a sports car like the original Eclipse?
I love that idea ☺
This is the best idea ever! Bring back the Eclipse as it was in the first place: a sports car
It looks hard to transform a Aztek into a decent looking sports car
My grandad has a 1959 Coupe DeVille that he’s put on a late 2000s Cadillac and put 2 rear roofs together to create a bubbletop, it’s awesome to see this video finally happening!
This is what I LOVE about CZcams, by shear chance you can find AMAZINGLY talented individuals, artists, musicians, etc that produced stunning work, and often it is things you never think about looking for, this was great!,.
Ahh the fifties, a time when cars were kinda like having your own plane for the road. I love those wacky designs of the day.
I think you forgot to finish the front bumper but the car still looks great
I'm so glad you noticed that too! I thought I was having a stroke
I agree that the 50's and 60's are completely unique and so creative. At the same time I see the interior of the cars in the late 40's and 50's as amazing. I fear we will never see this "flavor" of car again.
Can you design a modern car with pop up headlights please.
And modernizethe pop up headlights
Thank you! I’ve been wanting to see a 50’s modernization for a bit, and thank you so much for doing it, love your vids!
Hey can you modernize the oldsmobile cutlass 1971? It's a really nice looking car.
I'd say the 1990-1997 Cutlass Supreme. The 4 door sedan is more distinctively Oldsmobile than the 1971 as much as I hate to admit. the 1971 Cutlass looks more like the Chevelle than its own Oldsmobile flair.
TheZProtocol the thing is that the 1969-1971 cutlasses are iconic, they’re famous for their taillights and their engine, but the 80’s cutlass is also nice.
@@Aeprl I see. In my case, when I think Oldsmobile, the G Body Cutlass Supreme instantly pops up in many people's mind. The W Body Cutlass Supreme was a very good attempt to translate he 80s Oldsmobile well into the 90s. Park a '86 sedan and a '96 sedan. You will see many design cues carried over.
What about the '69 Hurst 422? Would look amazing.
TheZProtocol
Totally disagree. I had a 71’ Cutlass S. Naturally you have a right to your opinion but if I ask you to look at the front of a 71’ Delta 88 or Ninety Eight maybe you’ll see nothing but Oldsmobile on the Cutlass front end. But here’s something, if you look at the 70’ Oldsmobile 98 taillights then look at the 70’ Monte Carlo taillights do you see a resemblance? Maybe the Cutlass should have had those taillights
I LOVED the front bumper! Almost looks like I'm traveling in time!
The front bar still not finished? Looks great though ;)
Trustfire lol
Hey man just wanted to say that i really appreciate your content, it's quality
the 60 cadillac was the same body as the 59 just with smaller fins. you showed pic of a 61
Uuuuuuuuuuu
Finally you recorded video about my all time favorite car
This was so pleasureable to watch... amazing one!
Wow you did such an excellent job on this one. Kept the design language and original form but modernized 👍👍
can you please redesign the mazda RX-7, but based in the lattest mazda design language and concepts?
New Mazdas look really happy
@@idkwhattoputhere4695 and sleek, it will be really interesting how a new rx-7 would look like with that sleekness.
One of your best redisigns so far. I really love the fact that you changed the whole car and not just some parts. But the car is still recognizable. I genuinely love it!
This is one of my favourite redesigns!!!
6:42
1950 is a 1955 Series 62
1960 is a 1959 Series 62
1970 is a 1963 Eldorado Biarritz
1980 is a 1970 Deville Convertible
Which actually had the right model year cars been in that picture it would have shown an even more radical evolution.
Please don't mind me being pedantic I love your videos and you've got a great Channel!
( I just also love spotting old Cadillacs)
1970 is a 1961 Series 62 Convertible
I'll grant you're probably right with the year but the reason I went with the Eldorado as opposed to the series 62 is the Eldorado as far as I know are the only ones that had color keyed wheel covers. Just like the one in the picture.
@@CaptOrbit Yeah, I wondered about those custom wheel covers as well (they're cool), but it was the location of the script...the Biarritz was scripted at the top of the front fenders near the headlights on '61s, not near the bottom by the door (as in the photo) where the series 62s were badged "Cadillac". I actually ended up finding photos of both styles, each with the color keyed wheel covers so I wonder if maybe it was an option on both?
I had thought that the color-keyed wheel covers were only available on the Eldorado but you're 100% right on the Biarritz badge.
You should modernize the classic of all classics: the 1957 Chevy Bel Air
Dayum! That's very nice.
Turned out gorgeous!
Nice artwork. Can you do a 1958 Plymouth Fury/Belvedere/Savoy?
Christine 😊
Blue Fox Productions no shitter ever came between first design and Christine, if they did, watch out
Whoa, whoa. You better watch what you say about my 1966 Pontiac GTO. He's real sensitive and easily fired up for hammering down on a shitter.
YES
Watch it! Christine will get you if you make her mad!😊👿
Nice design👌I'd probably connect the 2 fins into one large spoiler/ taillight. Just an idea😁
How about the Honda Del-Sol next? 😂
*honda Del sol
@Die Cast Racing with Von XD
So glad that you left the vent window in it, I personally miss those things.
Loved this!
You f**king forgot the Front man 🥺
Can you de-brick/modernize a volvo 240? ❤
Love the redesign 😍
This is one of my favorite of your redesigns.
Could you do a modernization of the 1971 to 73 buick riviera. Want to see what your take on it is
That series of Riv is my favorite of favorites. Would love to see what you would do with the ‘72, without those huge front bumpers.
Please re design the aston martin lagonda
I have fondest memories of the 1978 Chrysler Cordoba :) The lines from the front 3/4 views were so nice!
I love this type of video content...like a styling study !!!
Love love love IT!
Do a Dacia Sandero Stepway, just for fun XDD
Edit: Nice looking car you made dude, keep the work going
From a mechanical standpoint, the exhaust could be coming from the circle taillights, just like the 2016 Ford GT had for it's air canals.
wow I really enjoyed this
Now this is the RIGHT way to re-live the golden age of old school!!!
I almost forgot! Please do an Opel Kadett 1987 redesign!
can you please redesign/modernize the volvo 240?
and here I was thinking that this channel would have like a million subscribers
(you definitely deserve it)
Amazing redesign it should be in product!
try modernising the benz-patent motorwagen with modern mercedes design language!
My biggest dream has always bean to own a bodyshop and now another part of the dream is to try and recreate some of your sketches❤️ älskar dina videor❤️❤️
Really nice work!
This is fantastic! Nice work with modernising such a classic design without losing those iconic features.
Really good re-design.
Please re-design RR PHANTOM)
Hellllll no
Redesing volkswagen corrado to futuristic
Just love it!
Love the rear lights 👍
love that design, could you do a redesign of the VW bug
The bug (Käfer) is the most beautyful car.
Such a great design
Can you re-design Plymouth RoadRunner 1970 please?
Awesome job bro. I like it.
Cadillac needs you desperately sir!!!
You should try the cadillac 1959 Miller meteor, you know, 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters ;)
stupid movie was a disrespectful move
Dude you actually saw my comment on the Ford Model T video and went ahead with the Cadillac!! You're one cool cat.
If more car manufacturers had a limited run of retro inspired cars like this they would make a killing, too bad they don’t like money
Love these videos, this is one of my favorite cars of that era
If only GM thought like you! This is the first one where I thought that I would REALLY like to see this made now. It looks so sleek and aggressive, it actually reminds me of newer cars, by the designers going gleefully batshit. I simply love it, especially the V shape of the rear bumper, and the way you integrated that into the tail lights. Bravo!
yo my man you should redesign the 1978 pontiac fire bird!
Liam Menton fellow Liam, I agree, that would be really interesting
You forgot to remove the reflection of the stock tail light on the chrome bumper. But other than that nice work👍
Also finishing the front
Pffff, this is probably the best, most amazing, most interesting redesign I have seen. I am speechless.
Thank you! I’ve been wanting to see a 50’s modernization for a bit, and thank you so much for doing it, love your vids! 😃
Heck, may as well commit the ultimate sacrilege and redesign the ‘57 Chevy Bel Air!
Okay boomer
I love watching you videos but the chrome removal kills me.
Jag tycker om krom okej!
Looks sick
That looks soooo sick
Not modern enough styling still... looks like early 2000s. But looks good
Looks more like a car you would find at SEMA
Chevrolet could bring back a 1968 Z/28 Camaro , Know Power Brakes , Windows , Steering . A/C yes . I had a 1968 SS Camaro 396 .
HELL YEAH I’VE BEEN ASKING FOR THIS
Man I love this! I do this as a hobby! My Dad always said what I did as a child in the 60/70s looks like what cars look like today'
You really should modernize the 1948 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan!
Noooooooo😱😮😳
⚠️🥵
Not sure what ya were thinking about now but no
Something in that redesign made it lose the charm of the original
Shehryar Ahmed yes all the way it looks like a mix between a 1960 Chevy and a 1962 Chrysler imperial
@@steelisthemeal yeah, looks like it's confused between being round and square
Shehryar Ahmed yes it’s one car that ya can’t really. Re-draw
Or restyle
@@steelisthemeal agreed, you can take inspiration from it all you want but you can't reimagine it
Cool design change!
I love the way you sketch your car's out . Nice take on the 59 Caddilac . Interesting concept 👍
You should redesign the 1981 Alfa Romeo GTV6!
I will make this comment every video until you do it lol. Day 33. Cmon do it you know you want to.
Im doing the same thing with the 1948 Cadillac Series 62
Allan Oliveira wow that is a beautiful car.
@@charlesray93 yeah, it is! That's why Monkey should modernize it!
Restomods are my favorit type of cars. Seeing you making restomods, made me so happy. :)
Amazing design
Giving you a hand for the lovely handsome hand SketchDwg ‼️... 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✨🏆✨💖✨
Dude seriously bad ass !
super cool one
Man, you are a rockstar of car designs
Beautiful
I'm getting high off those magic marker fumes!😂😂
Very nice 👍.I like the more formal roof design.
the twin bullets on the rear lights is what made it a 59!
This is by far my favorite caddy of all time, good job on the redesign. I would love to see you do one for the Pontiac Fiero, had 1 as a teenager loved it.
Dodge did it to perfection redesigning the Challenger and you've got it so right with this one,,Thanx for a great vid,,Luv to see you do a 71 Mustang or Olds Toronado,,,Have a Great days,
Yes, finally something I was looking for
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. My favorite designs are the 41 Chrysler Imperial (with skirts only), 53 Studebaker Starliner Coupe, 56/7 Lincoln Continental, 63 Lincoln Continental, 66 Oldsmobile Toronado and finally the 67 4 Door T Bird.
Man, some of your analog sketches I'd just love to frame and hang on a wall. They look so good :)
