I read online that Nissan is considering eliminating both the Versa and Altima sooner rather than later. If this IS true I believe that the suits at Nissan are making a mistake, especially with the Altima! Another suggestion for Nissan: offer a two or three year free maintenance program. Many other vehicle brands are doing so. Why aren't you? About the Altima: a pity to take it out, so to speak. But 30k for an Altima? Really? Wow! My brother in law bought one many, many moons ago. He drove that thing into the ground and it served him well. His price then?

Well, if I'm on the highway doing 65 miles per hour, and have to very suddenly changed lanes, it would be nice to know how the car may react. Feels ultra cheap, doesn't ride particularly comfortably and the materials feel like they were pulled right out from the budget bin. The CVT makes the engine loudly drone under load and the vehicle feels more sluggish than a 2011 Corolla we once owned.

After a vehicle accident (other guys fault, not my nor my moms fault whom was the one driving my car, a Toyota Prius Hybrid), I got a 2023 Nissan Altima as a Rental, having the choice between the Altima and a Chevy Malibu. The Altima practically convinced me to look into buying an Altima one of these days, I really liked it. The only big complaint I really had was #1 I don't like the fact that there isn't a rear window windshield wiper & #2, I'm not too crazy about the steering wheel but it was easy enough to overlook.
So the one thing I hope that Nissan does in the future is just simply put a rear window windshield wiper on it. I don't understand why there isn't one already, it's kinda stupid to not include one.

Nissan actually forces anyone who want a very important accessory, AUTO BRAKE HOLD, to move up to this SLTrim, which can cost anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000 more than the SR. The SR Trim does not have Auto Brake Hold. I wanted to purchase the SR Altima, but without the Auto Brake Hold, I will wait for the 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Anyone who has ever been in bumper-to-bumper traffic knows just how important it is to have the Auto Brake Hold feature.

Hence the rebrand, hence all the stupid commercials. Dealerships in GA are practically giving them away and no one is buying them.
