What a great match !
Thank You for the videos
just watched Accu States Premiere with Efren/CJ Wiley. 1994. (9/12/2023)
Now this loads next, 2016. 20 years later, and still Accu-Stats and Still Efren.
AMAZING!
Man I remember watching Reyes in the early 90's play 1.000 pool for a few different matches. I think these guys have at least 1 or 2 of his perfect matches? Anyway, it crazy to think he's still competitive at his age??👏👏👏👏
both are true legend.... both played incredible..
Great pool and great commentary. Super interesting.
Reyes being competitive for 30 plus years is an accomplishment. Don't really know of anyone else that's done it that long still making it high up in the field
Then you don’t know pool
@@williamhall7349 ok Mr. Know it All. Who are those players?
earl ?
@@williamhall7349 I don't know top players' longevity (which I guess for you equates to knowing a sport) but I recognize ugliness when I see it.
@@geoffreykeenan5914 refresh my memory of this
Love Danny DiLiberto commentary.
Efren will forever be considered the greatest, due to his creativity, his smooth stroke and knowledge of angles and caroms, and fantastic pocketing.... But SVB is really putting his name on the game with all the results he's gone on to have.
I don’t agree that Reyes is or forever will be the greatest. He’s your favorite, sure.
@@edgaraguilar9582 Who you consider the greatest? Your right palm?
Why are you so offended@@capoman1? Efren is great, everyone loves him. No need to get your blood pressure up because someone disagrees with you. Weirdo
@@edgaraguilar9582 The sport will always progress and there may or may not be someone who will once again revolutionize the sport like Efren did. This "GOAT" term is more like "This person is the greatest player to live to the present and will likely remain so (especially relative to his time) in the foreseeable future and will need another super-genius to claim that title. don't take it too literally
@@edgaraguilar9582he’s a GOAT.
My 2 favourite players 🤩🤩
Oooh, that's a fun one to watch. Both players much respect, hard to beat SVB
adorable commentary duo
These commentators are gold. "you don't buy green bananas" "oh I don't like green bananas" 😂 "I got that stat from my guy at acustats" "well let's jump him and kick him" "oh no he's too big"
"pool players are the best athletes at their game" wasn't bad either
@@gillesderais834 lol I missed that one.
Corn Rows guy at 7:25 is the diamond on the gold ring
@@horsecockexpress7612 lol indeed.
Good ol’ Danny Dileberto… i like his commentary… he was a hell of a player back in the day… He liked to talk a lot too kinda like Earl and “Big Mouth” Mike Sigel only not as much
Man Shane's break! Cue ball jumping straight up every time, so solid!
So good
I want to see more of these 2 facing each other if you guys can upload more that would be great
Well efron retired so that’s probably never gonna happen.
Efren is no longer in his prime.
@@edmhie1 yea we all know that is 70 yrs old now
6:27 big long fluid powerful stroke, you can tell they both laughed at that one lol
Why he said it like that😂
Great games from Missouri City, Texas
I remember I always watch efren because my father watching him
No Pacquiao yet, no fb and youtube yet. No crime reported when Efren has tournament. I end up playing billiards too. Today Efren still amazing!
Efren not complaining about a fan is no surprise. Yes Efren has as much class as any man but it probably didn't bother him as much as most guys. In the Philippines these guys play high level pool matches in rooms with a hundred guys hanging around the table. They play with humidity so bad they have piles of chalk on the actual rails and those people around the table may only be 3 feet away to the point players have to work around them to shoot so a little camera flash is nothing for a Filipino player.
Efren last last balls on the 3rd and 4th seems intentional placing it awkward but hen made it. He is just making it more exciting. Things he does to entertain not top platers does.
Hello pool players around the world

Honestly im being confused of the colors of the modern balls from 3 4 5 6 7.
I still prefer the classic brunswick balls which the 4 was pink.
I'm used to a purple 4 with brunswick centennial
GOAT::: Efren Reyes;!!!
Wow. That was near perfect pool.
Great win by SVB awesomeness ❤
How about A SCORE BOARD - on that informs an audience of all matches involved in a tournament and more than just the score
a score board the same level as a baseball or football game

Shane is the Efren of this generation and will probably be widely acknowledged as the GOAT next to Efren.
Europe has be the USA like 8 times out of the past decade. I think Jason Shaw is better.
No way. He doesn't play all of the games Efren played.
Goat is Willie Hoppe 52 world championships in different disciplines
Master of all billiards needs to be able to do 3-cushion billiards shots like Efren
Van Boring is a straight shooter with a mules' power. What's in his brain you'd wonder. Certainly didn't have much advanced 3-cushion concepts (dumb positioning) so how the hell is he anywhere near the GOAT?
@@ysc6896 way better than you bucko
2 of the best players in the world!!!!!
You're very right. Back in the day the good players were pretty tight-lipped about their game. Novices and blow-hards were always eager to tell you all about it.
Van Boening "the Kid" vs Efren "Bata" Reyes. In Filipino "Bata" also means Kid.
I'm just a casual pool watcher, but I do love the commentary as well as the game. I'm too ignorant so I don't know both commentators, but one is Danny Diliberto right? When I got interested in pool, I started watching tons of games with Danny and Billy Incardona commentating and loved it. The "other guy" I do recognize but can't remember his name. Both are very knowledgeable and calm, perfect for the game. Great upload!
The other guy is Mark Wilson, St Louis area based coach and commentator extraordinaire. Also a former pro player, former captain of the Mosconi Cup team and shooter of the final ball in the very first Mosconi Cup in 1994.
@@robertmeadows1657 thanks, I love their style👍
Efren Reyes is the GOAT IMO
Efren the GOAT 👍🏼
@16:42 that should be two 40 secs against SVB. That should be ball in hand for Efren.
I spotted that too
Extensions are auto used if not used for that rack: I think it’s auto implied. I think that’s what happening
@@scurvy3113 but he's already used his extension in that rack a minute earlier. 15:45
The extension gets applied but never actually starts counting down at 15:50 for whatever reason.
Thith wath a fun match to watch. And yeth i agree about thethe guyth thpeed control. Itth exthellent.
I played Efren about 7 years ago ..... of course as expected he beat me, but I had a blast!!!!!!!! What a rush!!!!!!
Played him in 8ball 3 years ago he beat me in 1min 20sec. Lol
@@DjDupree I just loved meeting him!!!!! However, there is nothing like playing the best of the best….
u need to play with money if u want a real game with him..ahahah
Wish I could play him
if you watch it closely especially rack 15 - boening is setting the rack high above the setting point that the 3 ball always goes straight to the corner. The ref should be checking it if the players are the one setting the rack.
without a doubt Efren is the GOAT . Both are my favourite players. if i had to choose one i'd go with Van Boening .
At 44:18, pardon any redundancy, announcers discuss Shane manipulating racks. Efren won't speak up. But that rack was slanted to camera right. Very clear.
slip ups happen once in a while, but do you see him doing it that bad often?
20:16 the goat speaks 🫡🫡🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫💯💯💯💯💯
Is this speed upped?
What do the numbers .906 and .931 mean? Is it accuracy?
Basically yes, 1000 would be a perfect performance, missing any ball or safety affect this score, with two scores In the 900s would be very high level pool, that only top pros usually score!
Tournament Performance Accuracy

they need to get 95 year old buddy off the mic. He ruining the whole situation had to watch this on mute 💀
Hahaha, true. His voice is so annoying I am forced to just mute the video to enjoy the match.
1:13:14 guy says ggod game to svb, but svb touches his hearing aid to put it on so he can hear the guy. svb keeps hearing aide off while playing. intense concentration

Well let's see the score is two to two and if Efren shoots this one out he'll be one rock ahead. Now that's some pretty good math there
this was thrilling. Both make mistakes and then use tremendous skills to get away with it. A fine match
I used to play with Shane when he was like 18. Hi Shane! CONGRATS!
2 of the best POOL PLAYER love SHANE
45:09 - Not even a small clap. Tough crowd.
The Legend
Watching this event from several years ago, you can see how much weight Shane has put on. I hope that he can get back to that earlier weight and level of physical fitness.
His exercise is 8 miles a day around a pool table
That’s cuz he’s eatin all these pool players 😎
What does weight have to do with anything it’s not like he’s playing football
I think it has more to do with Shane going from early 30's to late 30's. Most men gain weight during those years.
We gotta stay positive rah rah rah
q ball: u are so confident
....
efren: Lets put a little bit of show!
q ball: good shoot!
Efren remains a legendary
THE GOAT
The South Dakota kid versus the Magician.
Efren " Bata " Reyes. Bata also means Kid in Filipino.
The one thing that gets all athletes, getting older.
Yeah everyone except ronnie
*EFREN PROBABLY COULD HAVE HAD ANY SPONSORSHIP HE WANTED. YET THERE SEEMS TO BE NONE. NEVER PLAYED WITH SPONSORED CUES/ NO SPONSOR PATCHES ALL OVER HIS SHIRT. A CLASS ACT THAT COULDNT BE BOUGHT. UNLIKE PLAYERS TODAY WITH HALF DOZEN PATCHES AND SPONSORED CUES, ETC.*
Shane is sponered by Cue tech, for the big bucks, the only one he needs , nobody else can touch him!🤑
I think Efren would play even if there was no money. Just looks like he loves the game.
It's interesting to me that Shane seems to have more movement in his stroke than many of the other pros. For instance, it seems like he always aims a little lower than where he intends to hit and comes up with his stroke a bit. It certainly doesn't hurt him though, that's for sure.
he definitely does do that; he has an artistic stroke. it's not perfectly robotic like say, Gorst, but you could block out his entire body and face and you could still tell it's shane based on the stroke. very pretty and unique
@@SneakyThewI disagree about gorst, I think he has a unique timing sequence that I find satisfying, not so robotic imho
@@freakoffear3823 I don’t think there is anything wrong with a robotic stroke. Tyler Styer and Fedor both have robotic strokes because their fundamentals are absolutely perfect and they are very methodical with their set up. It’s something every player should emulate to master their stroke. Shane’s is beautiful as well but nearly impossible to replicate because he has his own unique flair on it with the dip in the back swing. It’s more of a quirk which most people have in their stroke.
Magaling talaga si idol bata Reyes, sure ball pagtumira kahit nasa nipisang tira lalo na 90 degrees angle swak. Sir vloger thnks po sa laba nna ito ni idol bata reyes.
@@Sacredsnow2 You summed it up nicely!
Honestly very close match
48:04 also. Shane is angling the rack.
As my experience, you don’t play the man,you play the table.
The Table pockets balls?
Sounds good, until you play Efren Reyes!😉👍
ken and scott are the best annoncers for all pool events
Da hora
Ok lng kung natalo c idol Efren but his sports man god 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 bless idol Efren
Lol 375 players for one pocket, legend has it they're still waiting for that one to finish
How can Van Boening shoot the 4 ball when the 3 ball is still at the table? 41:27
finally someone else who noticed that. i have absolutely no idea. did just no one notice???
@@sheapeters4116 Or are they playing with some rules that I don’t know? I was hoping someone could explain this..
that's the 5 ball
@@ryanooi4167 Ah, thanks!
Shane has a very unique stroke in the way he has a long fluid wind up with a dip in it, but after all of that movement, believe it or not he actually "jabs" the the stick or poke strokes it, you gotta watch the final stroke and where the tip ends up on the follow thru or in his case the lack of it, some of his strokes the stick actually comes "back" that's why I say "jab", never the less, like no other jab stroke I've ever seen, he controls the the cue ball as good as anybody, which is not a skill that usually comes with a jab stroke, normally those kind of strokes are known for pocketing balls, particularly long hard shots, Efren on the other hand has a more classic pendulum swing with a good follow through although not a "power" stroke, but a finesse stroke, that's why he plays one pocket so good, among other skills, for another great stroke I look at Earl, long fluid "power" stroke, but not quite the control as Efrens finesse stroke, as for Fedor it's a what I call a" phony" stroke, it's a very contrived mechanical stroke, as in one step after another, most important with that kind of stroke is the timing, and it forces you to follow through the cue ball because of the long deliberate final back stroke, it's not a natural stroke, but it's works and works good!
Whatever happened to Scott Smith? Love that guy, best referee EVER
Jesus Christ the Son of God died for you and rose from the grave and loves you VERY much
Who cares .. he was annoying for way to long
52:39 again. Efren is a passive legend. He refuses to stand up and challenge a rack. Shane knows this. Again, the one ball to the two ball is an inch of center. Shane is desperate to win and take some legacy. This goes hill hill if there is a neutral racker. And I haven't even finished watching these shenanigans...
Wow that is very interesting. Could be camera parallax. But if it’s that far off that’s definitely a cheating move and pretty disappointing from Shane
Who’s the old guy in the commentary?
@ 8:02 Jayson Shaw is only 5 years younger than Shane not 7 or 8.
This man just said pool is harder than golf
“Good long fluid powerful stroke.”
These announcers are being real hard on Efren.
3:10 why 😂
Did anyone notice the kiss in the background?
1:00:00 his Carl Childers impersonation

Where is part 2 WTF
At 7:18….Hey Danny….he POSITIVELY PLAYED THAT SHOT….THE CAROM FOR the 2
Watching these two at pool, it's like watching Messi vs Ronaldo on football
Pocket speed is all you need.
This match is hard to root for a player. It's like a parent watching a game with two children competing against each other.

@@randybujaWhat does your comment have to do with what gwendoh69 said? This is a pool match, not church.
13:40 💯💯💯
Shane often taking a long time to rack. 1 ball on the spot, breaking from more than one diamond in from the side rail and wing ball often firing straight into in the corner? Perhaps some strategic gaps between balls when racking? 🤔
INDONESIA CHAMPION BILLIAR ❤❤❤❤❤ NICE SHOT
