Ah yes, the song that will be playing in everyone's heads today as we agonize over indecisions in the character creator.
Also the song that will be playing in people's heads as we agonize over the hair and makeup that we can't change 37 hours into the story haha.
@@juliappoki iirc, now there is actually an option to customize your character again later on by talking to Withers.
@@Zarkarin You can talk to Withers but only to change your class. You can't change your appeareance after the character is created. The devs have said last month that they were working on something, so hopefully it'll come out soon!
@@juliappoki Damn I thought that was out now. Well there is a mod for it on Nexus probably but that's not an optimal solution.
@@Zarkarin The biggest problem with most of them as far as I know is that they can break achievements. I'm still on my first playthrough, so hopefully the official solution comes out soon haha

This is the best first impression a game has ever made on me. As soon as I heard it, I knew it would be instantly nostalgic. It didn't feel like starting a new game. It felt like coming home to an old friend.
I'm 6 hours into this game and it had me hooked from the start, and just as first impression i think it might one of the best games i played this year, if not ever.

I did my research before buying the game and escaped character creation in only an hour. Truly felt like a speedrun.
I've grinded on Hero Forge so much it takes me, like, 10 minutes
If anyone starts wondering like I did what the sound that starts at 0:47 is, it's a violin technique called Ponticello. I love it even thought it's a bit dark and ominous

Bruh, I'm on Act 3 of this game and it's just been so fucking good this whole time. This music has stuck with me even when I'm at work, or out with friends. The music is almost haunting but in the best way. Such a phenomenal job. The atmosphere, composition, and the lasting nostalgia you get from hearing the chord progressions in this set is simply PHENOMENAL.
Thank you for being an integral part of this experience through this story. Through this journey. Hats off to the musician. A bow is in order.

This reminded me, in spirit, of that classic scene in the Simpsons when Milhouse is playing "Bonestorm", the hot new video game everyone wants. He's sitting in front of his tv like he's blown away by the gameplay and all he's done is enter his name (Thrilhou). Same vibes creating a character in this game with this music playing.

As much as I love main theme and appreciate that it's perfectly in style of earlier Baldur Game titles, I think it was a wise call to have a more chill tune play on loop during character creation. I remember spending time rolling stats in Shadows of Amn and after chill part, the theme goes back to this loud entrance again as if telling me "hurry up you moron, how long is it going to take you".
Reminds me of character creation music from Ultima Online, which is a fantastic coincidence

I had some DnD characters made before BG3 came out, so when I finally played it, I already knew what to make so I didn't spend 10 hours in the character creation.
I mean I still spent a lot of time in there but definitely less than I expected.
Damn this thing played for like an hour straight while I agonized over my character lol. But it's so pretty, I almost didn't mind. Still beautiful! I love how it incorporates the melody from "Down By The River" as well, it's a really cool leitmotif and I notice that quite a few of the songs that play throughout the game have that same brief melody/couple of chords! Very sublime, very cool.

I think this is also a tune a music box plays in the ward wing of the house of healing in Act 2. One of those music boxes that you crank, and it has the metal fingers running over a metal cylinder.
