I like this style of video. No commentary - just enjoying seeing everything.
I like that there's no music, too. You get the real experience of it all.
agreed
Another channel like this is dancing bacons
Costco should have an international store where u can buy stuff from other countries!
I like that idea.
Someone did. It’s called Amazon. Then you noticed the products were made in China.
I wish :( china when it comes to capitalism, some their stores actually have tons of goods from ALL places of the world, which is awesome.
Yes not sure if one is in the UK
I didn’t see much in the video that I thought “why can’t we get that in the U.K” but I can see your point, even though my local Costco has a lot of items from around the world there are definitely things that I came across on my travels on holiday and work that it would be nice to get at home, don’t know if it would work financially or if the prices would have to be high to make it viable. I know you can get a lot of items from overseas on eBay and Amazon but I do like to actually see things before I buy them sometimes and you can’t buy perishable or customs restricted items because (obviously) pers hi lets goods perish, and customs restricted means either getting an import license or breaking the law. Good idea Koco Sassa.
As a costcophile this is super interesting. It is like most Costcos I've been to, but with Japanese painted onto it. So many right angles, very clean. the floor is in good condition and the pallets are not blemished. Super organized. Well done Japan.
That’s just Japan in a nutshell.😁💗🇦🇺
There is something comforting about Costco when you put it that way
Costco! In Japanese!! 🗾 😃
Super organized and very clean.....that's very Japanese!
every costco looks the same bro ...
I have worked for Costco for 21+ years and I still get excited when I see the items that we carry all over the world! So much fun (and delicious)!
Me 31 years...since 1991 (Canada-'Québec-Lévis)
You two are so long
@@LeDouxCalin Do you find Costco a good employer?
@@stinkletoes8285... As I have worked for them for 31 years, yes Costco is a very good employer but as for marriage after so many years nothing is perfect ...
@@LeDouxCalin Thanks for reply..
Your Costco is so much quieter than in the United States. 😁
I think their only allowed one child per family.
So much quieter than in Canada too. Wow.
@@susanhendrix8701 your thinking of China.
Susan Hendrix not true of japan at all
A lot less busy, too. Here, we get pushed around. The parking is Hell.
I’m so jealous you can buy Japanese food in Costco size!
Mihoko you read my mind! 🤤
For anyone interested enough in Costco to watch a Costco video.... go to Costco in other countries.
Your membership card works!
The seafood pizza by the slice at the Taipei Costco is very good.
The Kettle chips are excellent. Try the sea salt and vinegar variety.
I prefer just the plain sea salt, but I agree: They're fantastic.
I LOVE the brand😍💞😍
It actually looks the same, that's the crazy part to me
I'm from the USA. And went to el salvador and for whatever reason...when I went to the grover store I was surprised that it was the same....like yeah...its a grocery
Same
Except for the lack of horrendously obese people, or people who haven't been taught the purpose of clothing.
Fr it looks the same from where I go
@@zaarkhananal7165 Meow listen here, fat shaming is bad meowadays. Without the mini-planets we'd have too few things to complain about.
Thanks for not adding annoying background music 💜
I travelled to Japan twice a year between 1975 and 1994; then returned in 2013 for a nostalgic reunion with this beautiful country. My 2 nephews taught English for 2 years in Osaka and they too appreciated the Japanese heritage of our family. The COSTCO store and its merchandise were arranged in meticulously and aesthetically pleasing displays. Hopefully ... I can make another trip once the restrictions for COVID-19 are lifted. Thank you Satoshi for a wonderful shopping experience.
So this is where quarantine brings me today. I thoroughly enjoyed this, as I have the rest of my Deep CZcams travels.
I can’t believe that it looks just like Costco in every way except the products are different... I want to go to this alternate universe Costco
Thank you so mush for the video. I work with costco 25 years now and it was super fun to see your warehouse. I wish we share more product between country. The patatoes chip. And pop corner are good product big seller in canada. That bag of chip is replace with an Himalayan salt chip mush better white bag. Still Kirkland product. I saw you purple Mayan onion chip in your basket I wish we had those back here they are one of my favorite. One of my old warehouse director is in Japan running a costco. Cheers and thanks again. Yes for IKEA. Jose in kingston, Ontario, canada
Would love to see what a Japanese Ikea looks like! 😎
Deborah Chick.....What a great idea!!!!!
I love this suggestion! I third that motion your honor!!!!
Its pretty much the same thing just a bit small and cleaner. lol
This is Not an IKEA in Japan.
@@IheaWs98 She was answering a question from the end of the video.
I love Costco's food court, you dont even need to be a member, i've fed my family from there a few times when we were really broke
Wow you are so blessed to have Costco at all with all that wonderful variety of products. Happy you.
Children screaming in Japan sound the exact same as children screaming in the US :D
i wonder what children screaming in France sounds like.
And here in New Zealand...lol..Laurie
My sister lived in Japan for a few years and went to Costco all the time! We have them here in Oregon too, but the ones in Japan are nicer. She liked to eat their prepared foods, and sometimes if she was bored she'd go there just to eat all the free samples, lol.
A lot of items similar here in Australia. Like the giant unicorn float. That beef rice & garlic shrimp looked nice, we don’t get those. But we do get the giant pizzas you can’t fit in your oven. And the crying babies & running children seem pretty universal too. I was pleased to see you got an icecream, those and a hotdog are mandatory 😄
Ah good old Costo. Doesn't matter where in the world you are, this is like coming home! Everything's so familiar feeling!
*laughs in british*
Lol not even Japan is immune to the presence of the noisy shopping cart 😹
Soo true!!! 🤣
That's Costco, for ya. 😂
I wish Costco in U.S. sells what is sold in Japan. You have so many things that I would love to buy.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The average American cant even cook.
me too i love costco japan
Depending on where live they might, but if there isnt a market for those things in your area, maybe this is your chance to showcase it to everyone you know and everyone else?
I agree, wish they have these things in the US Costco
@@dylpicko I wonder if we could do online orders? Haven't checked yet!
Much larger menu at this Costco’s food court than in my store! Loving the variety there
I love watching this kind of content because I feel like I’m walking around with the person but also getting to see everything they see without much interruption.
Yes! That pop corner chip is delicious! You should definitely buy it next time.
The kettle chips are good too. Like Ms Vickies. Oily and salty though
Hilarious to me that the front of their store still says shit like “USDA choice beef”
Same at first till I remembered unlike the US, most of Asia is very mountainous. Hence why beef was a delicacy in places like Korea & Japan right up until about 70 years or so
@@AnthonyTrifoglio But I thought east Asian territories e.g. Taiwan/ROC, Japan have traditionally opposed USA beef imports due to their greater injection of hormones
Given the larger quantities and sizes of Costco goods and the relatively small homes/apartments, do most Japanese have difficulty storing what they buy?
I am curios about this as well 🤔
I had wondered this myself when I first started going to Costco in Japan. I've seen what looks like groups of friends (3 or 4 women) shopping together and what I assume is splitting the cost and goods later. I just did a quick search and there are blog posts and websites that explain rules and etiquettes in Japanese as well.
I love that they sell the unicorn floaty there and in the US 😂😂
Pretty sure it’s because they sell some products from Costco in US
Once I asked my dad for the pool floaty and he said no cause we dont have a pool
@@atomstarfireproductions8695 yeah I figured it's just funny to see almost the exact same set up, I've noticed at least, that stores tend to change up product depending on regions. funny that everyone wants floaties though!
@@lyraejackson1700 😂 I can imagine just chilling in your living room with it
WOW, that was fun. I haven't been able to shop in a store for quite a while, and it was SO much fun looking at all the items. Even the sound of cart wheels was nostalgic. LOL. Plus, I NEED that Unicorn Party Island now! Hahaha! Yes, MORE shopping, please!
Your Costco has way more prepared foods than my local one. The Bulgogi and the beef Rice look delicious and that 50pc of sushi for that price is a bargain!
So cool to see the differences in products from our Costco in San Francisco ! Thank your for sharing!!
6:02 - Tack on one more to the "yes, Popcorners are delicious" comments -- that flavor in particular is one I always pick up while buying snacks. :)
Thank you for sharing what it’s like shopping at Costco japan!
Wow, wow, wow! I wish Hawaii's Costco had all of those super-sized Japanese products for sale! Satoshi, that's my most favorite chip flavor too! Great video Shinichi!
I found this interesting! Thank you! I saw many of the same things we have. Food saver, Cheerios , kettle corn. I’d like the bag of Miso and the green juice please😀. Ps. I’d love a mango soft serve!
I've been seeing you guys from TabiEats for years and I was so surprised when I saw Satoshi in the video 😂 I didn't know you guys had this other channel!
Welcome! Thanks for your support
Hawaiin Sweet Maui Onion chips are my favourite too!! So Yummy!!!
Yes please to IKEA! Particularly the café, kitchen utensils and the food shop if they have one (they call the food shop the Sweden shop in the U.K.) 😀
Well first off I want to say that I'm express with this Cosco!! Alot of the product we sell here in the states!! Seems to be also carried over there!! The store was extremely clean and getting around was convenient!! Overall I think this is a Great Video!! Thanks 4 Sharing and yes I would love to see IKEA in Japan!!🇺🇸 :) 🇺🇸
Okay, Japanese Costco tops every other Costco. Their food selection is amazing! Australian Costco is nothing compared to this. I wish I could buy fresh seaweed at Costco, and the vegetable selection is incredible, as well as the prepared meals.
Thank you for posting your Costco. Yes, it was nicely stocked, neater, and quieter. I wish we had some of your products on this side of the Pacific in the USA. Keeping enjoying your Costco.
That's nice. My child wants to visit Japan and I've been very curious about the country. Thank you for showing us around.💜
I work at Costco, just had my 5 year anniversary last month, and I loved watching this! I went to one in Chiba, Japan, two years ago, and it was such an amazing experience. A lot more for sale than the warehouse I work at. XD
Popcorners are one of my favourite snacks! Light, crispy and salty.
Awesome! Thanks for this video! It was really cool to see the different products :D
It was fun to see what Costco is like in Japan. It's not fair; you have better food there too. I heard that the seaweed salad is more of a Japanese-American invention. Not sure if it’s true though.
Ha, my dad loves their food court so much. The last time I visited my parents, my dad asked my mom to pick up a hotdog for him. She was so annoyed that she yelled, “No, you have obento at home!” That totally cracked me up.
Yes, I'd love to see the IKEA. Thanks for the fun videos!
Yes seaweed salad is something we don’t usually eat here. In fact the one they sell there are from Korea
Love the deli dept with all Japanese food . Hope they have a section like that in a Costco near San Francisco. Thx for sharing
Thank you for sharing your trip to Costco! It's so cool to see what's offered in another country!
Interesting they have some items from the US like those chips Satoshi likes. To bad we couldn't see more of the Japanese type foods they sell or did I miss it? I would love to go back! 👍💜
Large selections of everything is a great way to keep customers coming back. You showing this video made me 100% hungry at that mango ice Brother. If someone tried to take that from me, they'd get a beat down. Great choices on all the stuff you purchased. My ex would be putting stuff back on the shelf. 😠 Thanks for taking us along and can't wait to see the Ikea trip. I know you're going to do it.😉🛒🛍️🥢🤗😘 Oh yeah, I always get the squeaky cart.
The people seem nice & so friendly to b around ...they know how to act & respect themselves
I passed by this while riding the bullet train a year ago when my family and I went to Japan for the first time. I was amazed.
Not all Japanese CostCos are this quiet though. The one near me is super busy. But I've only ever gone during the weekend. This was probably filmed on a weekday.
Love this style of video. Low key, yet informative and fun. Also adding to the pile of, "Yes please for an IKEA video!"
Love seeing what food and snacks the japan stores have :)
I love how the typical Costco experience translates all over the world. Start out small and before you know it you're creeping up on over $200. Still, a lot of great values to be found here, even by Japanese standards. Great video!
The food court in itself is worth a trip to a Japanese Costco!! 🥰 Great video and I'm glad they let you film inside ... 😎
You have a lot of unique stuff there. ❤️ I would probably buy the prep table and the big pack of miso!
It's funny to see some things that are so familiar and then things so Japanese. I could definitely enjoy shopping there.
Love going to these kind of stores. My best therapy ever. Thank you for sharing!
Pop corner is delicious! Especially that kettle corn flavor. You should definitely try it!
The sea salt kettle chips are SO addictive!! And the Pop chips are good too, my favorite are the cheese flavored ones!
Yeah, Japanese Ikea would be good to see. Thanks for another excellent vlog. 😀👍🇬🇧🏴
Thanks for posting, I was silly not to stop in on my visit a few years back.
I'm from Mexico City, and the Costco looks like the same as here, we have almost 30 Costco's Nationwide, the merchandise looks similar, brands like Kirkland and others also sale here plus the Mexican and American mix, thanks for sharing, we also have IKEA too, and I really want to see it too. Thanks
I'm also from Mexico City and I never seen an Ikea, there's no one here in Mexico yet.
I've been to Costco in Mexico. They look very similar to the USA. But it feels more upscale. The eating area was much cleaner and inside. And somebody helped me load my car.
Love this kind of video. Thanks!
Thank you for this upload! I enjoy slow shopping and this was so relaxing. I really loved seeing sweet Satoshi too!
Thanks for this video, i miss shopping so this is the closest experience
Also, would you consider adding a segment at the end where we get to see your entire Costco haul?! :)
Sure let me plan something like that in the future
@@IWillAlwaysTravelforFood Yay! Mahalo!
This was really relaxing. Anyone else get ASMR vibes?
Thank you for giving your time to create this video. I really enjoyed it and it was great how you converted the yen into dollars. Once again thank you.
love these videos of Japan and daily life...always enjoyable. Thanks
Love this, Shinichi-san. I always love seeing Japanese supermarket videos. Hope that you will make more videos about Japanese supermarket. :-D
The sounds are calming to me I’m about to fall asleep .
Kids crying giving me PTSD. Shopping with my kids at Costco is not so fun. 😬
Aside from the shopping cart and the babys crying I see what you mean😂
m4r2no ☺️
I am pleasantly addicted to your series. It is the everyday that fascinates me.
Same here!
I really like the video, it is very infomative, close up to the goods wanted to show, not too noisy.......happy new year 2021
I've always wondered how Costco Japan would be like. Thank you for the video.
Kettle corn is awesome !! Its my favourite popcorn. And any kind of kettle chip is good they are super crispy!
That is so funny! I bought the same towels for my son. He loves them.XO
I'm American. I love Costco! Its funny how the store there looks like the one in my neighborhood. The prices are amazing, but I don't shop there since I live alone. The hot dogs and pizza in the Cafe are phenomenal!! I was so excited to see you guys have them there as well.
Thanks for the tour. 😎👍
I love your car at the end! For such a small vehicle it seems like there was loads of storage!
the street tacos look so good! ill be moving to japan soon, i know im gonna miss food from my home state of california 😆 glad to know there will be options for me to taste some foreign food❤️
thanks heaps for the great vids mate
Hi Sinichi. I heard you say that you & Satoshi were in the first round of lottery tickets for the Olympics. Just to let you know that since you were in the first round. They are having a second drawing for unsold tickets to the Olympics. You and Satoshi are automatically in the second round for tickets. I saw this on NHK news a day or two ago.
So neat..so tidy I love it!
Kettle corn flavor Pop Corners are so YUM!! I find them irresistible.
Woooow
thoroughly ENJOYED!!!
Thanks
idk why but I really enjoyed this kind of quiet vlog. There was something relaxing about it. I liked the crinkling sounds of the bags you'd pick up. lol 😊
Omg I love this video! Costco is my happy place and I love seeing what they offer in Japan. That beef garlic rice and the sushi trays! Wow! And why isn't mango soft serve a global offering? I would go just to get that!
loved this tour!!! Jealous of all the products you guys get in Japan
So orderly, clean and relaxing! I need to visit Costco in Japan!! Here in Canada it's a mad house on any given day, and forget Christmas time! Great video 👍🏻👍🏻
It's fun to see Costco in Japan! I go to Costco once in awhile here with my friends, mostly just to look around, but it's always interesting! Some of the items you have there are the same things we have here, and then some things are more Japanese (and they look wonderful). You asked about the Kettle potato chips. They are very popular here. Most of my friends love them! They have a very good potato flavor, and are nice and crunchy. They are a little thicker than some potato chips. If you go there again, it is worth trying them. Thanks for the video!
I want some of that beef garlic rice in America
You could do a whole episode on the Costco and Ikea food courts!
That Mango soft serve 🤤 here in Mexico we got the mango smothie soo good too 😋
Yes please do the IKEA vid, that will prepare me for the inauguration this year of IKEA Mexico City! Glimpsing the video of what you eat for breakfast, curious by nature and not satisfied 'til I calm my curiosity! lol...thumbs up and greetings from Querétaro, Mexico! :)
That sushi looked like a good deal. I wanted to see the beer selection and price!
that jalapeno cheese bread looked real good! So did the beef garlic rice. Will drop in there when I visit I hope those things are there
Thank you for the video!! Good job!!
