@Jay-th6ep well they keep comparing what the average person earns compared to footballers. Going from £11 to £20 an hour is not a lot. If u can't live on 250,000 a week something is wrong. Also the campaigns he was fighting for he's now moved to a country where that's illegal

In regards to what he campaigned for I agree he shouldn’t have gone to Saudi if he supported LGBTQ, but at the same time he wouldn’t be getting attacked if he didn’t show support in the first place. So would you rather he never showed support if he were to go there?

If Harry Kane went and played for Kettering Town in January because he wanted part time football, he shouldn't be in the England squad. Regarding Henderson, he was already on hundreds of thousands of pounds each week playing for Liverpool, it is a false equivalence to state that the average fan would move to Saudi Arabia for 500K+ per week as unlike Henderson they are not approaching this from a state of financial security. The move to Saudi essentially is the difference between having a net worth of tens of millions of pounds to a net worth of hundreds of millions of pounds, at such ridiculous levels of wealth the practical differences are negligible - Henderson and his family will want for nothing regardless of the Saudi money, now they will get to live in slightly greater luxury. The cost of this is Henderson’s credibility as an LGBTQ+ activist, indicating that previous good efforts by him were more to do with improving his brand than actually furthering a cause and on the pitch it brings into question his ability to compete at the elite football level - especially in comparison to current English footballers competing well in the Prem (e.g. JWP). Gareth still has the right to select Henderson and Henderson may still perform superbly for England but criticism should be expected and is indeed warranted.
Morals and values have an associated cost within capitalist society and typically only those in privileged positions of wealth have the ability to stand for their convictions as they can bear the brunt of any negative financial impact.

You're mentioning all these players - and for me Gazza was the best England player I ever saw. I also liked both Ashley and Joe Cole. Glenn Hoddle was also an amazing passer of the ball. I also heard a story about Gazza playing tennis well into the night before an international the next day. That guy was a human dynamo - boundless energy.. The need to clone him!

I think the disrespect for Pickford is shocking. Every tournament that comes around people try and replace him. And for what reason no other GK can do what he can. He starts our game from the bck. None of the other keepers can even pass. Thanks for the content stay safe 👊

Ramsdale and Pope are far better keepers
I think the goal keeper situation along with Maguire and Henderson has exposed a weakness in Southgate as a manager
      Loyalty does not win trophies
Form does we won’t fuck all with Pickford in the sticks that’s for sure

He's a good international keeper, playing in a good league and he's consistently played well for England.
He's not one of the best 10 goalkeepers in the world but no English keeper is nor has been for many years so why blame Pickford for that? He's done well with what ability he has.

Van Dijk doesn't want to play as many matches but also wouldn't want to be taking less money..
I'm reading Dennis Bergkamps autobiography and he said that because he didn't want to fly to games due to his fear of flying, that Arsenal changed his contract and reduced his salary to mirror this because they knew it means he would play less games. He said he was happy with this and accepted it.
If you want to play less games, you shouldn't expect to get the same money.
Van Dijk makes more money in a year than most would make in a life time. He plays on better pitches, with less physicality than previous generations, has better physios and the best equipment. Get on with it or if you really want to play less games, take a drop in money. I'm sure he won't be on the breadline😢

Henderson shouldn't be anywhere near the England squad. JWP has been unreal but still doesnt get a game. Love the fact that Gary said its 'frowned upon' when in reality your likely to face some kind of capital punishment or imprisonment. Henderson is already a multi millionaire and comes out in support of these things then sells his morals as soon as a bigger cheque comes in. Sick of the hypocrisy. Like listening to rich people moan about climate change while flying private jets all over the place, you fool nobody.
