- In this video, I'll go over how to pronounce the digraphs (sh, ch, th, etc.) Some digraphs have more than one sound, and some sounds have more than one digraph; this might seem tricky at first, but if we break it down and teach them to our little ones the same way we would primary sounds, we'll set them up for success.

I'm not a child. I'm a foreigner (a Brazilian) who has been living in the US for 4 years. I can tell that your videos work properly for those who have English as a second language. Keep it up!
You are a gift! Thank you so much. The schools refuse to teach this! Please sell these as flash cards you'll sell out fast for sure!
My daughter and I make digraph and diphthong posters! We find words that serve as easy examples of the sounds we need, draw several, color them, and hang them up in the homeschooling room. Like for "ch" we drew a wedge of cheese, a chain, a bar of chocolate, a chess board, chair, etc. So when she reads now and runs into a digraph or diphthong, on the occasion that she gets stuck, she runs to her posters, finds the letter combo she's looking for, and comes back to read the word correctly.
Very helpful!.
Will prepare a chart too.
Thank you so much!
Thank you!! Can you please give us a link to where you show how to pronounce single letters that have varying sounds? Like the "O" and "Y" in "pony" vs. "ploy"? Thank you 🙏
Perfect timing, just what I need and so helpful. Thanks so much
Thank you Spencer! This is so great. I also agree that you should make these into flashcards!
Although I'm not a child, I'm learning to pronounce words correctly thanks to you. I hope this method will help
Thank you so much for your channel. 🥰

Hi Spencer, My Kid is having confusion between the sounds of "e" and "ai" . both make the same sound but as soon as she tries to write the spelling of "rain" always she is doing mistakes and wrote "Ren". The same goes for the word "Jet" she used to write word "Jait" How Could we explain to a kid when to write "e" and when to write "ai"
Here is a video on spelling that can help! czcams.com/video/A0o6XgRIzRA/video.html
How would the child know how to use ' ough' in which words when reading
Children tend to read the diagraphs by pronouncing the names or sound. Is it right?or they just have to see the diagraphs/trigraphs and pronounce them together without separating the letters? What is the correct way. Please guide me.
Thank you - im a bit afraid that a child could be to much ahead in class and then finds school annoying.
And im a bit afraid, that if i teach my child to read with for example your method - that in school you still have to learn again the basics in another method, and then struggle because you would have to unlearn a lot of your progress or teacher just say he isnt able to comprehend instructions.
The letters with multiple sounds are what ,my son has the biggest issues with and it's also hard to explain why there making different sounds🥺🙁
Ey you said incorrectly
Hey, Rey, obey, whey, they, survey
But it also says ee as in key, monkey, honey, jersey, alley….
I had a problem with ew sounding like “oh”. Can you think of any of those?
