Gromit hides in his room as Wallace shouts his name. Wallace had gotten so addicted to cheese that he would hit Gromit whenever he hadn't got his cheese and crackers.
Gromit saw the gun that Feathers McGraw had used when trying to steal the money. He grabbed the gun, checked if it was loaded.
"1 bullet" Gromit thought to himself.
He put the gun into his mouth. Tears started falling down his face. All the memories of him and Wallace came flooding into his mind. From when Gromit first met Wallace, all the way up to the present.
*BANG*
Gromit had pulled the trigger. His brain had splattered all over the wall of his bedroom.
Wallace hadn't heard the gunshot. So for the rest of his life he kept shouting, "CHEESE GROMIT! CHEESE!" He never even thought to himself about why Gromit was taking so long. For many weeks Wallace was sat in the living room, waiting for his cheese on crackers.
Wallace soon died after 2 weeks of shouting for Gromit.
The house soon went silent. No one ever took a single step inside of there ever again.

One could say this film is an interpretation of man on the moon. It maintains the questionable practices regarding natives without the overt racial themes. It does, however, fail to truly express the terrors of colonialism. Including the classic dry wit,it becomes clear that this truly is a film by the British, for the British.

I remember being really scared of the robot when I was a kid.

I thpught I wasn't scared of it anymore. But in the dark, alone, hearing that there may be darker undertones to my childhood staple, the bounce has gone from my bungy
I loved the little scrapper, to be honest
I was scared of it but it wasn't really 'evil', it had hopes and dreams of its own and it was able to achieve them.
Same, especially the suspense and chase music makes the situation pretty tense.
But as I got older I feel bad for the robot, since there won't be anyone to give it more coins.
You truly feel the absolute dread on Wallace’s face when he realises he’s left the cheese. A deeply disturbing and emotional scene. Wallace and Gromit are to die in the next few weeks in the ship with only crackers and moon cheese to live off of. The zoom out on the ship as Wallace says “We’ve forgotten the cheese Gromit!”, the cut to black and the classic theme.
Gosh, I never really thought about the fact that the robot only had like a minute to live. The once happy ending is now tainted, in a way, showing us that dreams are but an illusion, and that the mechanations of the universe will one day cause our sentience to end, and that brief spark of self awareness will be but a flash in the dark night of an infinite universe...

I lost it when he said "This makes sense actually:" and goes on an entire digression to explain "the science" behind this masterpiece.

god i remember being so sad about the poor robot but as a kid i didnt realise it was also gona run out of coins again, if you look at the last clips you see the robots dial getting lower aswell ;_;
My interpretation was that Cooker was trying to get aboard the rocket as Wallace and Gromit were about to return to Earth, that way it could go skiing on the snowy slopes of the planet, only for it to fail and get left behind, but it soon realizes all hope is not lost and uses the metal strips that were ripped out from the force of the take off to make skis, after which it goes skiing on the slopes of the moon and waves goodbye to the duo as Wallace waves back
Even just seeing clips of this brings back a weird feeling of terror from my childhood. The general atmosphere, then the panic of the moon robot... At least the robot got a happy ending
