- This mission is so much fun. I'll get to score running others missions, but I just couldn't help but do this. The 100k PLSL run was me at my best - but this was so, so much more fun.
If the Su-57 is undoubtedly the best here, the Starfighter is by no means the worse, courtesy of its special weapon. Guided rockets are a very niche weapon, inferior to all other air-to-ground weapons in almost all situations... but not here. They excel at putting massive damage on a single target, and the rocket barrage easily overwhelms CIWS, making them excellent for ship and platform busting. Unleash them on the enemy fleet, crank up the engine, and prepare for possibly the most fun way to play AC7.
Joke plane, like hell. I goddamn love the Starfighter.

@@TugaAvenger I've been born that way. After I died on AC2 for the first time, everything became irrelevant. Nothing provided joy or comfort. Because, I died. By using analog sticks during Greased Lightning.
No seriously. I never liked dying in games. Dislike the thought of it more than a thought of actually dying. Always played super, super safe. Crawled whole MoH and MoH Underground on PS1. Any RTS? Heavy fucking turtling. Losing a skirmish game of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds was a nightmare I had for every night for over a week. Got over it by now, but damn did it take years. :D

It's like watching a chessmaster at play. Before you know it, *before you can even guess that's what he's doing,* he's already lined up for his next salvo before his missile is even fired on his first. The amount of forward planning here in every strafe is insane.

You just destroyed much of the Erusean Navy, two large resupply sea platforms, and several squadrons worth of modern fighter aircraft with a 65 year old lawn dart fighter bomber... You are a true master of this game.
That's no ordinary lawn dart. This man was thrown from the heavens so hard, his lawn dart obliterated the entire fleet.
The F-104 is an interceptor. Just because the Germans were fucking stupid and decided to use it in the ground attack role doesn't automatically make it a bad plane.
@@meatbag9317 They lost all their planes from accidents. I don´t think the reputation has anything to do with it´s combat role. It was just a plane with a lot of flaws that was unfit to serve at anything but high altitudes.
@@wulferikgebhardt5312 Actually, the reputation of the F104 HAS to do with its combat role... or better, with the role assigned to -G version: when used in its original role (really QUICK interception), the accidents ratio was quite low.
At the opposite, most accidents happened when the plane was used in A2G role, at low-altitude.

It was also being used by a nation that was not at all prepared for a match 2 capable aircraft, given that the most advanced aircraft they had at this point was the CL-13: a fine plane, but going from a subsonic plane with rather docile takeoff and landing to a brute that basically lands faster than you’d fight in a plane only a few years ago... it was not a recipe for success. The Germans chose the wrong fighter for a recuperating Air Force, and paid for it

Quite an epic achievement, even if it was made by a 60-year-old fighter who did not meet the expectations of the USAF.
I wonder what the F-104C would look like when it was commissioned. And at a time when the Osean air force was not yet "defensive".

Found that out on this 100k on this mission video. Definitely makes things go faster. My reaction was to seeing it was: "Wait, what? That's illegal. :|"

I wish taking damage in this game was actually visible on your aircraft and affected flight controls. Not super realistically, obviously, but just enough to add a bit of challenge.
This feels like an anime upbeat rock music, a fast jet with a cool design, explosions, tricks, and a steady speed of destruction and you would put Milyah and Trigger combined to shame
Ace Combat literally is a mecha anime with fighter jets, though.
The music really suits your flying style today. It's like Sol Badguy is out there doing the work himself.

This is one of my favorite planes to use because it really gives skilled players a challenge. Sure top tier planes like F-22A or the SU-57 are far superior to the F-104C, but anyone who can use a lower tier plane to get an S rank on all mission is truly a master of the skies.
I agree on principle. Not actually sure I could beat this score with the F-22, though - XSDB *can* take down ships, but it's not ideal. You know what, I'm gonna try it right now.
That was amazing. I haven't played AC7 for a month or so, but I know my best on Hard is 53K for this mission, that too with a SU35, and not a measly F104. That 99% damage was also surreal.

Do you think you'll do a ranking of AC7 Missions? There are definitely a few that are weaker than others but overall I still think this is one of the strongest AC campaigns.

I'm new to Ace Combat and I tried it out because of Xbox Game Pass. I'm blown away by this. It took me 3 tries to even reach the minimum score, within the time limit. This video taught me a lot though.
Glad to hear it! Sometimes I get comments by people discouraged by my stuff, it feels so good to hear someone inspired or helped by it.

What are the two little pods behind the aircraft in the HUD? The aircraft was in red towards the end but the little pods remained green lol
Flares. They actually do have a reload time, so you can only spam two at a time. Pretty fast reload though.
