  • In this clip, I install the Jadus Euclid Seat onto the Yamaha SR250 Classic - a '96 model. With these models (the re-release from the 90's into the 2000's) and many other spanish models - including the Yamaha SR250 Standards, the seat bracket sits quite far back on the frame rails and therefore needs to be relocated further forward to fit the seat. In the video I show the process of cutting and re-using the stock bracket by relocating it and welding it in place. Sorry if I repeat myself a bit! But I think you get all the right information - including reasons to do it this way and various tips and advice :)
    Any questions, just shoot!

Thanks man. Yeah I reckon it made a pretty big impact. Add some mini indicators, smaller tail light, Jadus tank kit, rear fender, frame loop kit, plus the up and coming triangle tidy kit, this bike is going to look siiiiick! :)

Oh man, I have to relocate and weld the stock bracket too on my Special from 1992!
What type of welder did you use?

Surfer Dude Garage oh sucks man! Or you can use one of the seat brackets! I'll send you one if you like? I used a gas welder actually!

Is that easier? and doing it that way, still need to cut the stock bracket?

I think it is easier to bolt everything on, but you still need to remove the bracket!

Great bike and video! A question: I could purchase a SR 250, I like it a lot.. the only doubt is if it's too small for me, I'm 1,8 m tall. What do you think? Thanks

Yepp, the SR250 is a great bike! I (the person in the video) am 1.86m tall and I think it fits just fine, so I don't think you'll have a problem :)
