This is what you call a true silent hill lover, knows the symbolism, meaning, culture, everything. Silent hill always was, is, and will remain the best and heart touching.
@TheGamingMuse - Here is some interesting info on Silent Hill 3 that you may or may not know, in the final cut scene of SH3 after Heather had defeated the false incarnation of God and is about to leave the room the final shot shows her turning around and being intrigued by something what she hears is the sound of a crying newborn baby. We the players for some reason don't get to hear it but it has been confirmed by that before that scene was altered the cry of a newborn baby was audible at that scene and Masahiro Ito himself has confirmed that the birth of a newborn child at the end of Silent Hill 3 is indeed canon.
I first set foot on Silent Hill in 2007, and I've never left since.

for me it all started in early 2000 i think I've complited first silent hill game more than 15 time ))) after Konami ruined SH series completely i decided to make my own Silent Hill inspired game and i started to learn unreal engine... and now after years of learning and making it ive almost complited first Act of my game )))

I don't acknowledge the newer Silent Hill games as canon, but the amount of lore in these games, and how they relate to real cults and pagan practices, really is what makes Silent Hill so incredible. The psychological horror comes from ancient and primal parts of ourselves and human history. The things that take place in the series are so incredibly terrifying and unsettling because of the strong associations with evil, corruption, pain, suffering, and sin. I am a Christian and I enjoy this game so much for how much it plays on the mind and our knowledge of right and wrong, and the things that make us human.

I'm gonna suggest Heather's pregnancy with god. Like in psychology if the mother is experiencing mental and emotional issues, it will also affect the baby when it grows up. That is why Claudia put heather in a stressful situation before heather could birth god.

There's an interesting parallel in Heather and Harry. Harry saved her from child sacrifice, only to be, in essence, sacrificed by Claudia. Heather then avenges him by simultaneously killing her and her own "child". It seems like Silent Hill hates ANYONE that destroys a parent/child relationship, even God herself.

what about virgin sacrifice instead?? As we know, children likely to be virgin but if you look at history a young adult virgin (particularly a female or basicaly a maiden) also "chosen" to be powerful sacrifice.
This is a great video! As are all of your others that I've watched! And I've watched most of them! However, there are a few inaccuracies that I have heard here, thus far! For one, sigils, are used for numerous things! They can, and do, represent spirits, including demons and angels. However, they are also used to represent an intention! You can use one, for example, to help you gain wealth, or at least the money needed to pay bills, and to feed your family, as well as any other goal that magic can be used to manifest. Secondly, the knife/dagger/blade is often linked to the element of fire, although some traditions link the blade to air, due to the sound that is made when a dagger/sword, is swung quickly before or around you. But as for the magical dagger/sword being linked to fire, which is personally more sensible to me than associating it with air! However, the blade is linked to fire not because of the burning pain that would occur if one were cut with it, but because fire is a vital and necessary element used in creating said blade, as fire/heat is used to melt and forge, metals in to blades/daggers/swords. Where as wands correspond to air because the traditional wooden wand is made of branch, which spends its entire existence, before it is harvested, hanging in the air! Different currents of sorcery use different correspondences for different tools! With each often having very good reasons for those associations!
The Incubus is one of my favorite enemies in Silent Hill. I like the religious symbolism.

But if the Insignia can summon the cult' s god who is practically a demon, why would it be that if the same symbol were to be drawn in blue (or black, I hear? Not sure though) it would have the opposite effect, despite the Insignia still having the same symbols associated with the cult's god?
