man, I wish I was able to have that ice all to myself
Hockey Elite me too
@@E.Asinus Nah, training skating backwards and not having to look back is a blessing
I'm an American who has been playing hockey since a kid......Canadiens are on an entirely different level. lol
I applied the tips in this video and now I have my first shootout goal! Backhand top shelf!
Nice
been playing 20 years now. still learning new things abt hockey. you make great vids. thanks.
I've used this sequence with the kids I teach, and they love it! Little ones who don't have great arm strength can still get the wrist snap to work! When the puck hits the inside top of the net the smiles on my kids' faces light up all of Canada!
Thanks Coach Jeremy!!
Awesome videos. I can't wait to get on the ice and practice this. Keep it up, Jeremy. Your videos and website are extremely helpful to learn the theory behind shots/techniques while away from the rink. Really appreciate it.
this was really helpful Coach
Great videos you make! Ive been playing hockey forever and watching these vids have made me a better player. Thanks again
Love all your tips, so easy to understand, it's really the little things that can improve your game
Really helpful stuff, Coach Jeremy. My 11 y/o son and I watch them and he practices them. Amazing how much his shot has improved, even at the Squirt level. Real confidence builder for him and helps him enjoy the game more. Keep it up, Coach J.
Dan .G last time i checked 11yr old was peewee
Ethan E nah, not always. you can then eleven in your last year of squirt.
Chris, Jeremy and pavel barber would make a great line
I don't Know you mean Nasher61 Jeremiah and Pavel barber
barber
ik im late but pat shea, pavel and nasher would
They would destroy every team in the NHL even my capitals
I was inconsistent with my backhand. Thanks Jeremy I've been netting pucks recently! ❤️🏒🥅
I would like to see some of these vids remastered with a phantom cam shot on the blade and one on the hands. Seeing the movement in slow mo really helps being able to practice
That would be epic. You can even do good slo mo with a high quality phone camera these days, as long as you use a high frame rate. But obviously a phantom would be better. It’s just expensive
Thanks for watching, if you want to join this challenge check out the first link in the video description. Improve your backhand!
These videos are so well explained. Thanks!!
Awesome Jeremy, keep it up!
Loving the Graf stick! Nice tips!
Very good advice, when hitting you lead with your shoulder, make your arm like a V and drive that V into the center of mass of the other guy. My friend and coach Jim Vitale teaches this method at his hockey camps. V to the Logo of their jersey.
Dude, your videos are awesome! Sick Snipes at the end too!
Great video Jeremy. I'm gonna try it out tight away.
Great vid, love your work🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks for the tips man.
Thanks. Appreciate the help.
Great instructional video. Thank you!
You are the man! Thank you so much.
thx fo the back hand challenge ill try it during practice
Do you have a video about taking a backhand while moving? It would be really helpful!
If I'm right eared, does that mean my left ear is my backhand? cus I really felt it on this video.
Yes you are!
Nice
Hey Jeremy, I am starting in a new league that has checking in it and was wondering if you could cover some tips for checking. Thanks!
Great Videos!
When I’m practicing backhand should I shoot far or close????🤔
Really helpfull, thanks a lot!
What do you think about the Graf stick you are using in the vid? Im thinking about buying a couple.
great video, keep it up!
Awesome tips!!! It helps a lotttttttttttt...!!!
i know this might be off topic from this video but i was wondering if muscle is where u get most of ur power or is it how u shoot?
great thank you for the video
I was learning how to backhand a soft hockey puck. I did ok sometimes I was struggling to lift the soft hockey puck.
Hey, do you have a video on how to easily roof the puck on the forehand? I've seen players that can roof it on the forehand with barely a flick of the wrist (Like the famous Marek Malik shootout goal)
great videos man
hey man i have that same stick your using i love it but i use mine for street hockey
Great videos man!! Love what you're doing here.
How do you like that e700?
Thank you

Очень крутое видео.
Спасибо большое.
Thx Germy
great video
I’ve always noticed Kane does his back hand different, watch his backhand. He doesn’t have to press down it’s like he just does it on command. Can you explain how he does that? I’ve always got confused from that.
Tried this today, it worked! Biggest issue I have is I tend to launch it over the glass more often than not. Smh gotta work on that.
Hey man, your videos are really great. There the best instructional videos I've seen on CZcams yet. You do a real good job. I had an idea that I thought would make for a good video: a "how to shoot in stride" instructional video. I'm currently trying to get better at shooting in stride myself and I haven't really found any good videos on youtube to help me. Let me know if this is in your plans or if you already have a video on it.... thanks!

Great!
Another great video....seems you were on a bit of a "burst transmission" on this one! Was the camera battery going? ha ha ha.
I'm defenseman and then I get not so much chances to shoot when I'm close to the target so I practice on backhand shots far from the goal. Is it wrong?
thanks
Ha! Thanks Jeremy!!
What's with the Easton helmet?
how do you get to go practice by yourself? I have to go to public stick and puck events
Buzzguts045 He has his own how-to-hockey website. Ice is open to him a lot easier haha
Show the *one handed* back-hand roofing, please. Crazy hard to master
My go-to move is a forehand fake and then I go backhand. If the fake is good enough, the goalie drops early, so when I go backhand, he's in the sprawl. After that I just wait him out, and sometimes his leg won't reach the post, so I just slide it in. More than half the time, though, I get robbed with the pad, so I need to work on elevating my backhand shot.
I do this same move, but I find if I wait on the backhand and the puck settles I can't lift it as sharply close to the net. If I go from forehand to backhand and immediately lift it, the puck still has a little flutter to it and I can roof it about half the time.. could do it more consistently if I practiced that move more often.
lonewolfsx29 same here.
I do that, but fivehole.
Pigwart Haha, I don't have the balls to try fivehole.
xD Don't blame you
staying in the down low stance really helps when taking hits, and for launching yourself into a hit on someone else
Those Graf sticks are a bargain, good value.
Is this in huntsville rink looks familiar
The lower the stance the better as you have more room to explode through the hit, Always hit with your shoulder this might sound stupid but the number of times people try to hit me with their chests is unbelievable. Always try to hit them as close to the center of the body and if you can right in the middle of the rib cage this way they will lose their balance. dont get into bad habits of trying to push people with your arms. always go in with your shoulder :)
Like the old school nike bauer gloves lol
I wish you were my coach!
lol I tried it once before but the puck wuz behind me
that helmet tho
i just cant do it dunno why, got so frustrated that almost snapped my stick
Did you get it eventually, 2 years on?
Anybody question that bucket
When CZcams recommends this video in late 2019.😂
What if the Goile poc checks it
Watch his other videos and learn a new deke
you fixed my backhand in one attempt 😂
Don't know why but the audio is very quiet and I can't make out the words. Your voice just sounds like random alien sounds
Nice helmet
No sound?
Bucket?
Sound doesn't work. :(
TOP CHEEEEEEEESE

CHeeeeeeeeeeeese!!!
Yumz
why is Ovechkin here
2:07 - 2:10 a person walks by
to cheeeeeeeese haha that was great
What kind of Helmet is he wearing LOL
We're the same hand and have the same stick
Graf
sorry, but this is disappointing instruction. physics of puck motion spinning up on the stick at the right angle is the key, not rolling or popping your wrists you can shelf a backhand without turning your whole body to a certain position. it's top hand position and using the whole blade from the heel if you want to have access to a quick high backhand. watch your own technique in the moves at the end of the video - you're doing it my way, not the way you instructed.
+Marshall Sky Easy to critic sitting on your ass eh dude?
+wade parkes I've made my living in game for 35 years, teaching beginners to pros, skating to puckhandling, skills to tactics! In my 50's, I don't the lungs anymore, but I'm still very capable physically, and teach to this day. thank you very much!
Awesome< I'm a wannabe hockey player playing all my life and have always paid to play! So you've got me beat!! Make us a video of how its done and I will happily watch it . My apologies
+Marshall Sky you think youre going to the show...buddy youre not even a guest star
people like you making comments like this, of a personal nature, without any comment on the topic at hand, just prove what lack of insight someone like you really has!!! have a wonderful day!!!
