Greece, the island of Santorini in particularity, is the one that is limiting cruise passenger visits - Mass tourism is destroying local life,. Another factor that has ships abandoning Santorini, is issues with the tendering process, not enough boats to accommodate all those people coming and going. they are eventually trying to reduce the number of cruise visitors to between 6.000 and 8,000 per day.

Cruises based off of the Solar Eclipse huh? Interesting. Another outbreak on a cruise ship. Those things are, as fun as they are, are bloody petri dishes. I'm not surprised Santorini is cancelling cruises. Venice started doing that. Bar Harbor has limited cruises. Local tourist places are more and more limiting or outright cancelling cruises.
