I think enough people said they like hearty for Paula not the shaming light. Room for both. But never take a rich recipe and cut the fat. Eat clean and light occasionally with the light stuff. People who eat good fat are not ignorant.
And I have noticed anti fat are not informed to the correct fats and the need for them. Especially with children and their growing brains. It is insulting to Paula’s cooking to act like they know better. Because in fact they do not. Weston Price can be a good source on fats and the need for them in the diet.

Bobby: I hope you read this-- Love the idea of the mustard. I like to add bacon or little ham cubes to make it a tad more hardy for lunch. I have that with a salad. A perfect meal that can be reheated if there's any left. Question: What type of exhaust hood do you have over that main cooktop? We're in the process of redoing our kitchen-- and I do not like most of what I see out in the market. That type of hood, which is closer looking to a commercial kitchen, is what I am looking for. I can sauces and foods for our family and getting clearance for a 23-26 qt pressure canner is a problem with most hood-type exhaust fans. Thanks for the great recipe. I'm making prime rib tomorrow. This will go perfectly.

@@virginiamesko6369 On the wall, behind the burners, the stainless steel apparatus. That's a spigot. Can lights -- (recessed lights) are above, with the ventilation system.

That's an expensive hard anodized pot. Metal utensils can be used on a hard anodized surface without scratching it up.

I do a similar casserole that has bell pepper and/or a small jar of pimento in it. Delicious.

I need to refer to my recipe for exact amount but have you ever tried adding a little white wine or cooking sherry to that cheesy sauce? It adds yet another unique layered flavor to the dish along with a dash of cayenne pepper. I’m definitely going to add the toasted Panko topping as well. Yum…😋
Do you get the same buttery taste if you use "ghee" ? Would you have to watch it as closely? Thinking about switching to ghee cause butter burns so easily.
O, would/could you use your cheese sauce on veggies? I think it would be delicious!
Al dente is how I cook my pasta as well, but difinetly the opposite of how your Mama cooks it.
