Just FYI Quizzy, that trophy is an Emmy. It's awarded for best TV shows, performances, etc. It's an in joke because South Park has won 3 Emmys and I'm sure they would like to have more. During one dramatic scene they put up a big caption that read "For your Emmy consideration!"

The award thing was because South Park had won an emmy(and has won 5 total to date), and the creators really didn't care. Each time they'd focus on poo on this episode, a banner would come up and read "Emmy award winning series". Had nothing to do with the Oscars or promoting anything.

Good point, I've watched them all countless times as well. I don't generally go in for "Watch-along" content, but I've enjoyed this and as you said it's a new experience; adding an extra dimension of enjoyment to the episodes. As well as this channel, I also find the SP content of Disfunktional TV an d Dash Reacts to be equally entertaining!

South Park has won the Emmy Award in real life, for outstanding animation in 5 seperate years. I think however I once remember them commenting that comedy shouldn’t be rewarded with trophies because it is subjective, or something like that.
So as a metaphorical gesture for what they think of the hypocrisy of giving prestigious awards to such content, they made an episode where they showed the award they had won as a constant reminder throughout the episode only at the end to shove it literally head first into the literal biggest shit ever made in their world.
They have done similar references with rewards they have won in previous episodes as well.
The entire episode is a parody of King of Kongs : A Fistful of Quarters, where Billy Mitchell was the former record holder for the highest score in the Donkey Kong arcade game, got his record broken, and accused the new record holder of playing with modded machinery as well as submitting a new hi-score record that wasn't verified. The person who beat him set out to do it again, beating his former record and the unverified one that Billy submitted.
The 'biddy' bit is a reference to Little Britain, one of the skits being a middle-aged man preparing to get married to his fiancee (going to wedding event meetings, meeting the in-laws, the ceremony, etc), and each time he asks his mother to breastfeed him in public and she happily obliges, much to the awkwardness of the non-family members in their presence (and the viewer).

this episode was largely inspired by the story of the Donkey Kong World Record, not long before this episode aired there was a documentary about it and you had the basic story line of the old world record being broken then the previous world record holder sending a video of him setting a new world record, the documentary was called "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters", eventually the record would be stripped as he was using modified hardware.

I saw the episode when it first aired, and when they just pulled the trophy off the screen I was like "Uh what?" lol
I was either in my mid-late teens, or just about 20, but, for some reason, I had a shite that must've been shaped awkwardly, because it got stuck halfway. I had to (alternatively) use the toilet rim, and the bath (which is right next to the toilet), to stabilise myself, by holding onto it/them so I could muster up enough kinetic energy, concentrate it to my arsehole, and shove the turd out. I actually got scared, and partly, due to being a sort of morbid idiot with anxiety disorder, I thought I was gonna pop a blood vessel, and go out like Elvis, or Gigi (a mobster from The Sopranos).
No real idea why it happened, but perhaps I didn't have enough bread/fibre rich cereal in my diet.
