Q is not evil, he is a muse. He motivates humans to think beyond the moment.

The introduction of 'Q' to the Trekverse was one of the greatest things they could have done. he's my favorite character, and this is a fantastic song for him. Great work!

Q is't actually a villain per say. But even his idea of "kindness", is enough to make a person fear for their life. When he's really pissed, he's everything in this song and more.
I think the song somewhat fits Q, even if he's not really evil. The opening lyrics are
"When the devil is too busy, and death's a bit too much"
And Q never really kills anyone. Sometimes his actions cause death, but that's not his motive.
This is well done, but never really saw Q as being evil. He reminds me more of the mischievous Puck type character.

Q is just a kid poking an anthill, only the kid is a demigod and the anthill is reality as we know it.

I got a DVD with all but nothing but Q episodes, and he also played in just one episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. But still he is the best and greatest.

Wow! This song is so unbelievably perfect for Q! The editing is just completely on the nose. Q is definitely one of my favorite Trek characters ever, and definitely my favorite Trek 'villain' ever. Only 12 Trek episodes, and he got his own fan collection! (which is a total trip to watch. My favorite Star Trek episodes are those with Q in them.) Not to mention video games.
Anyway, great job! Totally love the video. :D

Great job editing and syncing scenes with the lyrics. I thought the funniest was when the lyrics said something about a pain in your heart and Q threw Picard his actual synthetic heart.

I've always loved Q and this song really suits him too well. He's not really evil but he like playing the villan so the song really fits. Like I could actually picture him singing this to Jean Luke (Picard) just to mess with him...

Yes, Q is like a trickster god, which is what the concept of Satan was originally, thousands of years ago---Yahweh's trickster assistant, who plays his tricks to teach a lesson, rather than the personification of pure evil.

@AutomaticShoes More than that, Q has humanity's best interests at heart. Going by his TNG arc alone (his appearances in DS9 and Voyager were stupid and non-canon imo), Q is trying to help humans become gods like himself by challenging and testing them. He acts like a smug asshole, but ultimately he's always helpful.

Actually you find out at the last episode that everything Q has ever done was to try to help Mankind, just in his own way. When Q introduced the Enterprise to the Borg, you think that this is the reason why the Borg discover the Humans. What Q was really doing was preparing the Humans because the Borg already knew about them and were on their way before this even happened. Q won't help them directly, but he loves humans and gives them hints on things, but makes them think he isn't.

Oh, Bloempje, I'm quite sorry for you that you haven't seen Q in TNG yet. You've got to see it, John de Lancie is my most favourite TNG actor together with Majel Barrett - (Lwaxanna Troi, RIP).

@gaiathedragonmaster Yeah, I know what you mean; I read an interview with one writer where he commented that they like using Q for the opportunity to say the things about the characters and show that the regular characters wouldn't say otherwise.
