- The evolution of trains has been a remarkable journey, showcasing advancements in technology, design, and transportation. From their humble beginnings in the early 19th century to the high-speed trains of today, trains have undergone significant transformations. The evolution of trains has witnessed improvements in locomotion, infrastructure, and passenger comfort. Steam-powered locomotives paved the way for railway expansion, enabling the transportation of goods and people across long distances. The introduction of diesel and electric locomotives brought about greater efficiency, speed, and environmental sustainability. Railways expanded and became interconnected, connecting regions and countries, revolutionizing trade and travel. The development of high-speed trains, such as the Shinkansen in Japan and the TGV in France, pushed the boundaries of speed, offering rapid and efficient transportation over vast distances. Moreover, innovations in train design have resulted in more aerodynamic and sleek appearances, enhanced passenger amenities, and improved safety features. The evolution of trains continues to shape the future, with ongoing research into maglev technology, advanced signaling systems, and sustainable propulsion methods, promising even faster, more efficient, and environmentally friendly train travel.

*As a railfan, AI doesn’t understand the steam locomotive that well.*
Its like you dream about a locomotive you saw in reality but this is how it turn out in your dream
As a Railfan it makes me mad when people think it's the actual coal that makes the locomotives run and not the steam coming from the water tanks
is this the music you guys listen to
AI don´t even understand rails or wheels.
A train engine that looks like a passenger car with chimney on top looks cursed
This is why you don’t let ai do anything with history 💀💀
Your cringe 💀 bro 💀
AI really said in the start: “Let’s put a funnel on the cab roof!”
Part way through it looks like a evolution into a steam truck put on a train chassis which would be a interesting scratch build model.
No it’s a type of steam train where they put the engine inside of the wagon 😊
not the music saying "CHOO CHOO CHOO"

The end went back in time 💀💀💀
Not really. Maglevs were seen as the nect big thing in the 1990s and 2000s, but people realised they're pointless so it went back to conventional rail.
@@shadowgaming6660 well japan is already building SC Maglev
Some things have been built and there are a few lines here and there, but the corners are the limiting factor in the speed of trains. A TGV can go 584km/h, faster than the service speed of any maglev, although its service speed is a maximum of 320km/h. Sure, the record speed of a maglev is something like 700km/h, but the maximum service speed is 400 on the Shanghai Maglev. That means that if the maglev track were replaced with conventional tracks which are far cheaper to build and maintain, and the rollig stock replaced with any TGV rolling stock, the max speed would remain at 400km/h. That's why maglev is useless, record speed doesn't matter, service speed is what matters.
@@shadowgaming6660 It's more that the shape of the train in the last seconds is more a low end metro and not a high end high speed train.
@@shadowgaming6660 Lol, you are writing so much bullshit.
The JP Maglev can do a service speed of 500-600 easily, while the TGV that went 584 could only do that on a completely straight track with only one powerless waggon attached and downhill. Also TGVs are relicts of the past, with their dedicated loco design they are so 20th century. Modern HSTs don't use a loco anymore but have traction motors all over the train to give it better acceleration. Because in the end you can make up time much easier by just have the train reach the maximum track speed faster and still save energy, as a railway don't need much power anymore when you got to the wanted speed, as it then literally slides over the tracks on its own. So reaching a maximum speed of 300 km/h in 10 km instead of reaching 320 km in 15 km gives you an advantage both in power consumption and saved time.
And you wanna know the best part of the JP Maglev? You don't need some new track designs for it, you can use the normal Shinkansen viaduct design, just without the rails attached to it and with the steel conductors left and right of the track mounted to the track wall and your JP Maglev works, as it's not a monorail (which is a failed concept, that is true), but the JP Maglev has normal dual rubber tire acceleration when it's under 160 km/h, just running on the concrete floor and elevates just by its own induction from 160 km/h and faster.
With that technology you can even achieve higher service speeds as 500 km/h easily, but JR Central is more interested in having highest frequency than highest speed and higher frequency of trains means your trains have to run slower to fit more onto the tracks (as every train needs a save distance to the front and back one, when you for example run 320 km/h that space is bigger due to longer breaking time than with 270 km/h).
So stop comparing modern Maglevs and HSTs with the failed Transrapid or the french TGV, which is an old fashioned loco HST, you only lose.
Steam locomotives will always be the goat.

I like how Maglevs came and went as people realised they kinda suck
Maglev is the future of railway vehicle (I’m a train fan btw)
@@Offical_FutCTthey're not. They're maybe a passenger rail advancement, but even that us debatable. The issues maglev was supposed to solve were solved with other cheaper methods. So right now maglev is a technology in serch of a problem.
@@kaymish6178 I like your opinion, and I respect that. But, I think Maglev can significantly reduce the travel time, and it has possibility of reaching net zero. There are a lot of technologies that maglev has like EDS (electrodynamic suspension) or EMS (electromagnetic suspension) that are way faster, smoother, quieter than the electric trains. I really respect your opinion, but I also wanted you to know that there are a lot of advantages to maglev trains. 👍
@@Offical_FutCT The issue is that Maglev lines are more expensive to build then normal lines, conventional rail is very flexible around the terrain where as Maglev’s are virtually concrete viaducts and tunnels everywhere. It’s much more economical to build conventional rail. The goal of transport is not to go fast, it is to carry the most amount of people at a sustainable rate.
@@VermyScrubs I agree, but at the same time, I think Maglev train, with the help of funding from the government, could be a great transportation system. For example, Shanghai Maglev train already proved that their maglev train is extremely valuable in carrying people in and out the airport. Furthermore, nations that are in need of faster trains than conventional ones (UAE, and other European nations) will most likely pick maglev as their new option. And like I said before, with government's funding and interest, it can be done.

its AI
Trains have evolved significantly since their inception. The first trains in the early 19th century were steam-powered, revolutionizing transportation and industry. By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, diesel and electric trains emerged, offering greater efficiency and speed. The mid-20th century saw the introduction of high-speed trains, like Japan's Shinkansen, reaching speeds over 200 mph. Today, advancements continue with maglev trains and autonomous systems, pushing the boundaries of speed, safety, and sustainability.
I think it missed a few stages. 😅. We're where the diesels! They also forgot the very first types of trains that only did 10mph

Steam locomotives are the definition of train
The definition of a train is metal wheels on metal rails, and usually multiple carriages. Steam locos are trains. Modern electric commuter trains are trains. Metros are trains. Maglevs are not trains. Trams are trains. Guided buses are not trains.
@@HesterClappisn't a train the definition of a locomotive connected with carriages or steering carriages connected to carriages?
