Fred Watson Lived on my grand Uncles farm for a time and they gave me a birthday present off a book signed by him “Why is Uranus Upside Down” so this video is cool.

I know that voice! Now I know the face.
edit: I wonder if the rooster or the magpies are going to make an appearance in the audio
edit edit: Just in case anybody is wondering, Fred does the SpaceNuts podcast and he had adopted a rooster that they named Gregory Peck and it was hanging out on the porch next to where he records and wouldn't shut up. More recently, some wild magpies paid a visit.

???: I'd love to see a video going over the many different ways of measuring the Hubble constant and how they do it. (And, of course, their values and error bars.) For example, for relatively close galaxies, is it essentially a direct measure (fit line to Doppler vs distance)? Even without accelerating expansion, it would change over time, so going farther back would need to account for that. I gather the CMB measurements have to then apply models for what has happened since then to get a number - what sort of models? The difference in z for different images of a supernova from a gravitational lens (e.g., SN Refsdal) was interesting to me.

Frazer, this is a change of subject. I read that there is some debate as to whether or not Betelgeuse is closer than previously believed. Would it be possible to get one of the Voyager space craft to photograph the star from their point of view? The parallax difference ought to make a significant improvement in its measured distance. Just a thought.

Interesting news about the Square Kilometer Array, but someone needs to update Wikipedia, as according to that it may still not be built in full. 0)
Maby Nick ( ParallaxNick ) could look into it... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_Kilometre_Array
