    Thank you Marie for intruducing me to the wonderful world of skincare formulating. I've been following you here in youtube, Pinterest and your blog for 6 years now and I am so proud to see your "metamorphosis" as a formulator and a teacher. Your passion and creativity have truly paid off and it's inspiring to see how far you've come.

    Thank you for sharing all these info Marie. I've been following and watching your videos since 2020 (from my other account). Your videos are my go to when I want to learn something about formulating personal skin care items! 😊 I started as a handmade soap maker in Calgary and now moved to Majestic Victoria, BC. I wish had met you in person when I was still in Calgary.
    I had known your book because I worked for 5.5 years at the Calgary Public Library and I always see your book 'Make it Up' in the holds shelf. So, one time I went through the pages and it's like discovering a gem! LOL Now, I work here at the Victoria Public Library and still see how popular your book as always. 😃All the best to you!

I know it's not super close, but on the off chance you were planning a trip across around that time anyways, maybe we could meet there? 🤞🏻

    Yes I've been making my own skin care products since march of last year. Thanks to all the knowledge that i gained watching and reading your blog now i am able to create my own formulation in percentage. My friends and other skin care junkies loved my formulation. I appreciate your work Marie, helping us small business owners achieve our dreams. I admit I struggle sometimes esp. When formulating cleansers and lotion however slowly but surely I'm getting there. I'm not only doing this to make money, my main goal is to help those people who has skin problems and looking for an effective and budget friendly skin care products. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

    Sage advice! A lot of successful small business cosmetic companies that become large describe a creator who began making products for themselves. Striving to make a lot of product for others shouldn’t be someone’s first goal unless they’ve already got the knowledge. I’m just beginning my skincare and makeup research and I’m doing it only for myself right now. The next branching out would be something like making gifts for my loved ones and seeing how that goes. If that goes well then, perhaps I could open a small market, but honestly that’s not even in my plans. I just want to have quality cosmetics and the control and knowledge to know exactly what I’m putting on my skin. So glad I found this channel and thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experiences!

    Yeahhh, I'm still there figuring out the Healing cooling Arnica, St. John's wort, Calendula Aloe vera gel body lotion I like to launch!!! But the most encouraging is the licencing process. I took some shortcuts with formulating because the consistency was never right, I started to use a formula base from the store, but now I have a hard time figuring out the potency of the product for the licencing process.

    Hi, I just wanted to make you aware of this. I am taking your paid workshop coarse and I noticed for the honey body bar the formulation for the sunflowers oil including essential oils and vitamin e is wrong. Unless I’m mistaken. The formulation says 8.84grams of sunflower oil which would go over the 16grams for the formulation. Yet in the google spread sheet you’ve so nicely shared it is correct stating 3.84 grams which perfectly matches the 16 grams batch size. Just wanted to let you know so others taking your course aren’t confused & their formulation doesn’t come out wrong because I was very confused and had to check your google spreadsheet to make sure I wasn’t going insane lol thanks a lot for all the information you give us it’s amazing how much I’ve learned from you!

    Hey Marie my mom loves listening to your videos, she loves making her own stuff and is learning from you how to do it but she has a set back she's blind and wants to know if you could help with a formulation for a hydrating face toner she adores soon to be discontinued and my mother is on a fixed income this would save her alot of money. This is her daughter who does the messaging and or typing for her. Please help she ❤you so much and believes in you and all your formulations. The formulation will be for her use only. I've also taken pictures of the front and back of the bottle that has the ingredients. Thanks again please help.

    • @_Ag-
      @_Ag- Před 12 dny

      My guess is there’s no way Marie could do this kind of formula guesswork for people as she’d never have any time to herself on top of running her biz. Check out how many people are asking for her free help on the regular.
      So, if this were my situation, I would start with the HB&M free course and learn all I could about the ingredients in the formula that will be discontinued, then using these tiny batch guidelines as discussed in this video, experimenting over time would lead to a formulation that works as well or better than the favorite one and might be loved as even more. Then your mom can be the maker of her own favorite products and even expand from there. Pretty cool!

      The thinking you’ve got going on here is too literal-minded. Metaphors help people grasp concepts; I found Marie’s sandwich metaphor brilliant. It’s true that using a formula that makes 30 bottles of a lotion you’ve not yet perfected is a waste. Make a new single bottle a day until it’s perfected. One sandwich a day to start with. That is the way.
