You're one of my go-to pages for motivation on instagram and since I've been off of social media the past 2 yrs to try and focus during my nursing program (just graduated, prepping for Nclex!) I can keep the motivation going through watching these vids! Being a young black man, growing up in Compton with a strict 2 parent household (AND rebelling from time to time), I share your sentiments on how my upbringing was and the importance of furthering my education brought on by my parents. can you video explaining why you decided not to specialize. also why more residents, compared to previous years, are going into hospitalist and not going into fellowship.
I can’t remember the exact video but one of my videos explains why I chose the Hospitalist life. It will go into great detail why. And one reason why a lot are going into Hospitalist field is probably because of the lifestyle with the 7 on 7 off work schedule and having the ability to do a lot of other things on the side

Congrats on the new channel! I look forward to all of the content that will come. Quick question for you. I have been a nurse for 7 years and I’m highly considering returning to medical school. I have to be honest with saying that I am a bit discouraged because of my age. I’m 31 and would be close to 33 after completing med school pre reqs. Just wondering what are your thoughts on age as it relates to med school/do you believe ageism exist when applying? Keep doing your thing bro!
I honestly don’t believe ageism exist. I’ve seen ALOT of people in medical school/residency who are much older than the average student. If you want it bad enough, go for it!
