You don't wash it for just bacteria, you wash it before use to clean off any residual chemicals that came from the factory. Heat doesn't kill those.
Just got mine in the mail today. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I look more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.
Love this video because I noticed I’ve had the same air fryer as your old one. I’ve had mine 2-3 years too and HATE how you can never get it clean! So my ears perked up when I started this video. Love the two baskets too. I hope mine breaks soon. Or I could always mail it to Brad to break for me. 😊

I've gone through so many cheaper airfryers, majority of my small appliances are ninja and I absolutely love the quality of all of their products, finally getting mine tomorrow! Main reason this one sparked my interest is the 2 different baskets, a lot of my meals were cooked in an air fryer but took so long trying to get 2 or 3 different things cooking in there 😭

I think your muscles grew in the follow up. Haha! Good video! I bought one and there definitely is a learning curve on how long to cook, but I am enjoying it so far. Everything has come out pretty good. The only thing is that it is big and heavy so you need some to have a good spot on your counter for it. Thanks for the fun video.
Definitely agree, we leave ours in a cabinet underneath, but I dread pulling it out lol

Can you tell me if your Ninja makes a clicking sound when you are cooking food in both baskets at the same time. I don't notice the clicking sound when I am only cooking in one basket.

The max temp is 400 in every mode but broil, which can apparently be set to 450...so to answer your questions, kind of? lol

For future reference: electronics shouldn't go in regular trash! Try and find a local e-waste recycling facility. Best Buy and some Goodwills take old, broken electric appliances :)

BTW:
The “kill step” doesn’t “kill” the Teflon coating crap that needs soapy water and a once through in the “kill step” to get removed so it doesn’t end up in yr food.
For future reference the e-scrap load are shipped by the container load to China and India for processing in the most ecologically egregious imaginable including child labor. E-scrap recycling is a total fraud. Would be great if done right, but it’s resource intensive and un-economical.
@@advancedtechnology1775 I'm not the most educated person on this specific subject (i do have a degree in environmental studies though), I've just heard that e-waste shouldn't go in landfills so it should be properly disposed of in designated e-waste receptacles/places that accept old/broken electronics since it is considered a hazardous material. Our recycling system in general is very flawed so I'm not surprised the e-waste one is as well. All we can do is our best to dispose of things properly how our city tells us to. Clothes are also something thrown away often but there are many companies doing textile recycling to mitigate this waste! Same thing with scrap metal recycling. Certain things just don't belong in landfills, and we should avoid throwing unnecessary waste away as often as possible. We should all try to reduce our waste and how much we throw away/get rid of by buying less of course and buying stuff secondhand to reduce the resources we consume by manufacturing/shipping stuff. Since it's so inefficient, recycling should be a second to last resort before the landfill. Recycling isn't the solution! The solution is to buy less and buy secondhand but proper waste disposal is important!

We had the egg shaped fryer too, it got too hard to shut the lid, so we got rid of it and bought the Duo Instapot that does both air fry and pressure cook your food. I like it, but I like the idea of two baskets too though. hmmmm May have to get one!
